Step 1 is the 30-min timer expires. Step 2 calls for a brief warmup time of...is it something like 15-20 minutes? The question I have is if there's a situation where the timer gets down to something small and there's lightning on the far east end of the radius with nothing else in the area, is there an unofficial "fck it" rule? I truly can't imagine a possibility of the timer hitting three seconds and there's lightning out by Reynoldsburg and the clouds are moving east, but...it also wouldn't surprise me if that would call for the 30-min timer to reset. Is there a buffer of some sort? 7:58. Lightning and thunder in the Short North. I'd imagine the game will be played with very few fans.
in sort of Crew related news, Celentano just made a bad error and gave NYC a goal that definitely kicked Schulte's chance up a percent or three of making the World Cup
8:38pm: No kickoff time has been determined. https://www.columbuscrew.com/weather Once again, BigSoccer is leading the pack in updates.
https://www.lightningmaps.org/ Could things be possibly starting to clear? We have lighting near 23 and 270 on the south side and some around 270 south of Whitehall. ...and then I checked the radar...
Is there a time cut-off for alcohol sales in the stadium? Would it still be, what, minute 75, or is it something like 11pm EDT/EST?
I seem to recall one night a year or three ago where the game didn't kick off until 11 and they cut off sales before kickoff.
That was probably that Leagues Cup match. And I understand that -- the match would have kicked off an hour-plus AFTER a normal match would have ended.
I was led to believe that Doran was not doing radio anymore. The dude calling the Apple TV is sure doing a great imitation of him.
They just mentioned that the third ever goalkeeper goal in MLS happened, and it was the goalkeeper for TFC. That means that the GK goals have transferred from team to team. Cepero scored for NYRB against us. Hesmer scored against Toronto. Now a TFC keeper has scored. It is like a relay baton.
