This is LA we're talking about. The drink of choice is bum wine. "May I suggest something cheap, fortified and served in a brown paper bag, Sir?"
Someone reliable once told me that he was the original troll back when TheCrew.com had a message board... In modern website news, the people who run the weather page might want to clear out the old news. https://www.columbuscrew.com/weather There is currently a severe thunderstorm warning for Franklin County until 5:30pm 6:15pm and there's more bad weather on the way. Hail hail the lucky ones who park in Astor Garage. Here's another reliable site which may be useful tonight: https://www.lightningmaps.org/
I had to come down to Columbus for work today. And was gonna stay for the game. What I kept checking the weather and now I'm on my way home. I got caught in a hail storm. Just avoided, probably getting my window smashed in
What I would do: Decide at the "point of no return" if you're going to make a night of it. There's no point deciding at 5:45. At 7:35, there looks to be some red radar west of Grove City. At 8:10, there's red stuff north of Grove City and west of Dublin and Hilliard. My prediction: You're staying home tonight.
Hell no. I'll be at the one night only re-release of Fight Club in theaters, FINALLY re-mastered in 4K!
If they didn't have to have time to warm up, they might be able to squeeze it in between lines. It's looking like they won't be playing until late tonight. If I'm still awake and there's a 11+ PM kickoff, I might head down by myself.
As much as the pregame adrenaline/mojo is flowing in me, it sucks staying home 45 minutes before the announced kickoff. In SnO We Trust!
This wasnt the game this week to play the more attacking lineup. LAG can still score and have excellent wingers. Theyll cut through us like butter. Maybe we'll play super deep. This was the game for herrara and a more mobile CB.
Is anyone in the stadium? Any official announcement on pushing back the kick-off? There has been lightning all around the stadium for the last hour.
Crew Supporters, inclement weather is still in the area. Please continue to follow weather protocols. Kickoff has been delayed. More information on matchday timeline will be shared when there is an update: cbuscrew.com/weatherupdates [7:34 p.m.] www.cbuscrew.com/weatherupdates At 7:40pm, the AppleTV announcers said to expect at least 30 more minutes of delay. The Crew broadcast is now showing MLS 360.
If the players still need to do a warmup, then there's no chance of kicking off before 9, right? (based on lightning still going on)
