The Quakes play the Galaxy, Chivas, Dynamo and RSL 3 times each.

Quakes play all other teams twice.

    4X3 + 9X2 = 12 + 18 = 30 games

    Galaxy: 1 away, 2 home
    Chivas: 2 Away, 1 home
    Dynamo: 1 away, 2 home
    RSL: 2 away, 1 home

Looks like. Not surprised after the wet January we had. They had to have been put behind a week or two at the very least. Still, May 3rd will be a good day :D

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess the Oakland home games will be April 12 vs Chicago, June 14 vs LA, August 3rd vs LA, and the big guess I'd go with Sept 13th vs Houston.

Never mind. Looks like we're only playing 3 regular season games in Oakland.

    http://www.soccersiliconvalley.com/2008schedule/2008EQschedule.html

The fourth Oakland game will likely be something else then, either that Mexico/Austraila game is counting, or we'll be playing some friendly doubleheader or something later in the year.

FUAEG, also looks like we won't be using the football configuration in Oakland at all. Our last game there is August 3rd, before football season has begun vs LA.

I expected we'd play LA much later in the season - one of the last two or three games. Enhances the rivalry. Hopefully we get back to that.

I'm really happy we're only in Oakland 3 times. I feared twice that number of games. Oakland would be better in the football config, but maybe the baseball config will confuse the hell out of Beckham and he'll play like crap.

Looks like half the BS games are after schools starts (post 8/29) and that should help sell the place out unless we really suck.

What's with the day games? And Sunday? Poo.

Why against day games? I find it's better to watch sports out in the sun and natural light. Not to mention it's usually warmer.

As for doing games after school starts... SCU usually doesn't go back until the end of September unless something's changed recently. So only 3 late season games are during school. And then 3 early season games are before they get out for the summer.

Save that for a thread all it's own. :) For now it's just a personal preference.
I was thinking little kids. San Jose Unified and the like. The AYSO/CYSA/whatever shows up once they start playing again which is usually around when school starts.

Ah, good point. I was thinking more our guests. I'm sure some SCU students would be more than willing to come out and see some pro soccer 50 yards from their dorms, have some BBQ, some beer and some fun ;).

The fact that these two are road games worked out great for me :D , as I unfortunately have plans on those two weekends that likely would've prevented me from attending had those been home games.

    GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!!

It's also perfect that the games at Oakland are on the weekend. It would have been a nightmare getting to a weekday game up HWY 880. I have to say that I'm very pleased with this schedule.

Weekend day games are a lot better than weekday night games, which there is only one of. That's great news for out of town fans. I'll take it!

I think we need to schedule a friendly or two for that 1 month stretch with no home games. That's really long time not to have home games.

Yep. Plus if you want to avoid paying for parking I'd recommend taking BART. Park at the San Leandro or Hayward stations (which is free on weekends) and spend the money on BART instead. Ends up saving you a few bucks. And BART on weekends isn't nearly as crowded.

That's probably when they'll schedule it up in Oakland. Probably a double header.

And paying 20.00 to park at the venue, no doubt. I hope they don't gouge us on that as well, my ticket prices went up 200.00 as it is. :(
