No assertion. It says "Guess". That means "to conjecture without sufficient information". It was a joke. Lighten up. Did you think Appoo's "rumor" was serious too?

    :)

If that's the squad, it's definitely only 1 forward and it'll be Dempsey...

    I'm thinking...

    Niemi

    Volz - Hangelund - Boca - Konchesky
    Andreasson
    Davies - Bullard - Murphy - Seol
    Dempsey

Bench: Warner, Hughes, Baird, Davis, Healy

Maybe Bullard and Murphy more aggressive centrally? Maybe he doesn't suddenly introduce Andreasson to the lineup so quickly and starts him on the bench, with Smertin or Davis taking his spot.

    Just a guess. I'm certain that it'll be a 4-5-1 though.

I'd prefer two up top, personally. Start out aggressive. He can always pull Healey and add andreasson in the second half.

I agree that Andreasson will probably start on the bench, since they specifically mentioned Hangelund starting, but Andreasson as only travelling with.

Well, he is a Wolverine so you'll have to forgive him, it's not really his fault :D

(just kidding. I really have no right to tease someone who's 9 - 0 against my team over the last decade. Let's just move on)

What's really funny is that there might come the day where Fulham has more Americans on the pitch than DC United.

the major consensus over at the fulham fc fan boards is that hughes should be paired in the middle with hangeland (sp?) and boca should be benched. This boggles my mind as I often find Hugh's defending to be sub par when compared with Boca.

Only two forwards in the squad... to me, it sounds like they'll be going 4-5-1. Not having a single forward on the bench would spell trouble... injury to one + cards to another = ?

Anyone have an in on getting tickets to a Fulham match? The wife and I are going to be in London on 4/19 and would love the chance to see Fulhamerica play Liverpool.

    What I'd like to see...

    Volz - Hangelund - Boca - Konchesky
    --Davies --- Andreasson --- Seol --
    ---------Bullard --- Smertin
    -------------Dempsey

This team is already a lot better than what we put on the field against Arsenal recently.

    derby u.k.
I should think you can buy them from the official Fulham site. They may ask you for a customer number which could be tricky for you, but phoning the club should clear that up for you.

I think Fulham's gonna win today. Just a feeling. Or a hope.

    But I think something like:

    Volz - Hangelund - Hughes - Boca
    --Davies --- Murphy --- Seol --
    ---------Bullard --- Smertin
    -------------Dempsey

    is more likely.

I sent an email to the club and got the ticket request form. Tickets go on sale for individual games a month before the game. They sell first to season ticket holders, then club members and if any are left they go to the general public. I'm going to join the club to get an earlier crack at them. With it being a match against one of the big 4 teams it is likely to be a hard ticket to get. We're only in London for 1 home match so it is April 19 or no game at all. I am going to go no matter what but I would like to secure tickets the cheapest way possible and I don't have confidence in scalping or other means.

Thanks for the reply though. I'm just trying to cover all bases.

I know... I don't know why I'm optimistic, but I am. No pbp from me since I'll be waiting for the 5pm replay.

am i the only person who thinks that there is no way that Seol should be on the field? last time he played i remember him turning the ball over constanstly, playing very very lazy and not tracking back at all, he was easily the worst player on the pitch

now i realize fulham has very few other options to start on the left wing today and i'm not sure this would be much better but i'd rather them start davies, murphy, bullard and smertin (or andreasan) and push one of those 3 centrals guys out left. i wouldn't even mind starting Volzy again at RM and moving Davies to the left, although i realize he was much less effective there

i don't know, this game is just going to be very hard for me to watch if they decide to start Seol as bad as he has been

Soel is by far our weakest link right now. Problem being, who do you stick out on the left wing?

    Wait, you already said that.

    Yeah. Serious issue isn't it?
