I feel like in many ways, the Championship would be a more enjoyable experience as a player than the PL. The allure and triumph of a promotion must be an amazing experience; 95% of teams are never gonna win the PL, but pretty much any team can get promoted
I'll be honest.... I watch way more of the Championship on ESPN+ than I do the Premiership on NBC. Bundesliga is my first choice but if say there's a choice between West Ham vs Southampton and Fulham vs Brentford, I am choosing the latter almost every single time. The Championship is fun. It's exciting. It's never dull, The table is jam packed. It's the most competitive league in Europe and arguably in the world. That Championship play-off final is worth over $100M. It could also be argued the Championship is a top 10 league in Europe.
Starts: 2⃣ changes for the Whites, as @ThomasCairney & @joebryan come in 🤜🤛#FULMID pic.twitter.com/cZdm8x8Crd— Fulham Football Club (@FulhamFC) January 17, 2020
A nice photo from October's match. From today's pregame report: "Fulham were dealt a huge blow on Wednesday with Parker confirming star striker Aleksandar Mitrović will be sidelined for three weeks with an ankle ligament injury. "We were worried it might be a little bit longer but, although there is damage, we hope we can turn him around in a few weeks," Parker told the BBC. Harrison Reed (calf) and Aboubakar Kamara (ankle) are also set to miss out, while Maxime Le Marchand and Steven Sessegnon will be assessed. Tom Cairney, though, is likely be welcomed back into the starting XI having returned to the bench against Hull City last time out."
1-0 win for Fulham. Ream goes a full 90 and Fulham still in the promotional picture - into 3rd place, for now
I always thought Zardes would be a good pickup (on loan, even?) for a team like Fullham in the promotion race - if the manager is ok with his style. He has the tools and doesn't lack athleticism at the Ch/ship level. Instructions to a 9 can be pretty basic. Mntime his MLS team can welcome him back in full form ready to go at whatever time the rules permit (MLS summer window?) and he'll have that European experience under his belt. He had plenty of rest when Crew didn't make playoffs and could have started playing Jan 1. He has the national team reps for the permit.
Only watched bits and pieces but this was all Fulham. Ream (and Fulham in general) were unremarkable but in total control when I watched. It was not the most elegant of contests, however.
Starts: 🔂 Anthony Knockaert misses out, so Harry Arter starts from the off in our only change from Friday.#CHAFUL pic.twitter.com/mJz5iF0gKD— Fulham Football Club (@FulhamFC) January 22, 2020

Not watching, but Ream with an early (and very unusual for him) red card at 6' - likely connected to the first Manchester City goal, a PK, at 8'.
Either way, his red card can be directly attributed to this loss. Whether he gave the penalty or not he may as well have with the red card so early.
