Re: The Dream Ream in Bolton: Tim I know the new name is already official, but: Tim Ream's Bolton Dreams is a better version of the same thing.
Re: The Dream Ream in Bolton: Tim http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/sports/2012/01/24/ream-bolton-move-morale-boost-for-mls/ Now, two years later, and after a roller coaster 2011 that saw him endure his share of rough moments, Ream is set to join Bolton on a $3 million transfer after securing his UK work permit on appeal. The 24-year-old defender had been the subject of considerable transfer speculation since last summer, in the midst of a run of up and down play that saw him commit blunders for both the United States and Red Bulls. ---- Now just wait and see when MOF joins Stuttgart or some other equivalent team. I have $75 running on a Ream-MOF CB pair in the USMNT for the 2014 WC.
Re: The Dream Ream in Bolton: Tim Bolton going from Knight and Wheater to Ream and Orozco? I'm not sure that the gravitational forces of that swing in style would allow the earth to still exist.
Re: The Dream Ream in Bolton: Tim First page! Need to get a Bolton jersey for my 10 yo for his birthday now.
Re: The Dream Ream in Bolton: Tim Congrats and best of luck to Tim Ream. If he learns to play a bit quicker and more physically, with better mental focus, then his passing strengths will really become valuable. I think the odds are actually against him, but they are not impossible odds. Oh, and I recommend Ream find a good financial advisor and banking 2/3ds of his salary.
Re: The Dream Ream in Bolton: Tim Sub. Let's all hold our collective breaths and hope this works out.
Re: The Dream Ream in Bolton: Tim I hope it works..but I fear we are going to something akin to a massive car wreck. Hopefully he doesn't get isolated 1 v 1
Re: The Dream Ream in Bolton: Tim Just bringing over this discussion from old thread. And sorry RC but I'm changing that thread title!
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Yeah, Dream Ream is basically a name for a porno. Good God man.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton True - although in that light the new one isn't much better
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Personally, I'm extremely disappointed that he didn't sign for Blackpool, as it killed our chances of creating a "Tangerine Ream" thread title.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton based on Coyle's comments and some recent comments re: Earnie Stewart at AZ Alkmaar I kind of wonder if we are watching the evolution of the Billy Bean of soccer (Moneyball) .... Coyle is looking for quality evolving talent at a price - he does not have the budget that Man City or Man U or Spurs have .... so he has to be wise. He spends hours looking at film? That is exactly what Bean did (along with examining statistics) and appears to be what Earnie Stewart has done in Erdedivisie ... it just happens that Stewart saw Altidore as a talent within the price and Coyle saw Holden and now Ream in the same light.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Patting myself on the back for the thread title! A first for me. Ha ha
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Just noticing that English soccer looks a lot like Major League Baseball?
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton I'm late. I would have gone with "Holden hands, Tim joins Stu at Bolton" A bit homo-erotic, but I'm comfortable with my sexuality.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Cmon now - we don't pun other players names in thread titles - that would be disrespectful. Maybe "Reamsters Union: Tim gets work permit to join Holden at Bolton"?
Re: The Dream Ream in Bolton: Tim Don't disagree. I want Ream to prove me wrong, desperately, because the US is so short on defense. But I don't see the quality and I really see Ream listed week after week as "Did Not Dress."
Re: The Dream Ream in Bolton: Tim Didn't the coach say he thought Ream was ready to slot in immediately? Don't we have decent depth at CB? Did you miss Ream's first season? So many questions. Ream may flop, but it sure sounds to me like the manager is bringing him in to get minutes at some point.
Re: The Dream Ream in Bolton: Tim It's off topic, but no, I think right now the CB position is very thin. There are a lot of guys who might be good with experience but aren't ready yet. I hope Ream falls into that category but he's not so young to the point where he has ample time to develop as a player.
Re: The Dream Ream in Bolton: Tim Manyoo spends $3M (or more for Berbatov) to sit on their bench. Bolton expects you to play. Hell, Holden was brought in on a trial and was starting after 7 weeks (including healing from a thigh injury). That is one good thing about Bolton, at most you are one injury away from at least being a substitute. Its like the Mets, if they make a bad signing, they are stuck with it until the contract runs out.
