I hate that thought but this ref sucked. Because Diaz tried, and did keep scrambling to his feet. “then it wasn’t a foul” But fall over when there’s a player a couple of feet away and ……
Terrible result. - sleepwalking first half - Thiago injured (shock - see you in a month) - small pitch totally helped them (hey we need to figure that out) - no Jota hurts - Bobby - love you .... but - Trent and Robbo - average today. The header goal is shockingly poor I hate to say but I think we are going to have some very nervy games the first two months as we integrate several new players into the team. Nunez has to start. Naby will need to step up big time. Same with Elliott and Carvalho - no time to get up to speed really.
I've seen the angle where there's knee to knee contact now, but they should've carded that Serbian ********er for a dive anyway.
What a total shit-on-a-stick display. Same as Brentford last year, only a lot worse. Pathetic. Our pass-completion % must have set a new low. Lucky to get a point ffs. Outplayed and outworked from the off. In total we played what - 5 minutes of good football? Fulham did what we moan at teams for not doing vs City - came at us and pressed the crap out of our game. We have a week to fix this before CP show up and show us up.
A draw against a lower-ranked team— now, where have I heard that one before. We were damn lucky to get a point but we’re hugely undercooked. It’s one of those games where the quality differences are minimal. That said, Firmino, Henderson and Fabinho played their worst first half for a long time and we were again undone by basic tactics. We’ll get better but that midfield, though …
Also - would Ibou have made the difference against Mitrovic? No chance he is able to be physical against Ibou.
The major problem was we that totally failed to look after the ball for long periods of the match— the first half was especially poor. Hard and well as Mitrovič played, we were just utterly poor at pretty much everything. Credit to Fulham for doing exactly what we feel teams should do to Man City. I’ve just seen a clip of the interview where Klopp seems to have questioned some players’ attitude
Don't think it matters, it was Trent he dominated for the goal not Matip. That cross was v intentional to isolate TAA. Fulham prepped perfectly for the game. Unlike us.

I’ve had some time to calm down, but I’m still fuming. The first half display was one of the worst we’ve seen under Klopp. Absolutely terrible. No intensity and couldn’t complete a pass. There is no excuse for it. I don’t care if it was the first game of the season, because just one week ago we had a world class display against the best team in the world. Second half was much better and Darwin made all the difference. So much for letting him ease into the team. We are already looking to him to be the savior. Those who want another midfielder are not going to have their mind changed by this match. Thiago injured again and Fabinho yanked off. The common denominator of all or Liverpool’s worst performances is Fabinho being off the pace. He’s so important that when he’s not on his game the whole thing falls apart. We end up chasing the game with two midfielders with a combined age of 68. Now we have to wait 8 days to get this horrible taste out of our mouth. The Reds will be fine, but that is just a brutal start. If we want to win the league, that needs to be our worst result (and performance) of the season.
Think there was more contact in the foul on Henderson in the lead up to their first then there was to give the penalty. That being said, was a very poor performance and didn't deserve more than a draw.
