Well this match is not important but,its still a Fulham match. I put out a total reserve team because last time we got the win at Forest but, we were very tired when we played Scum and they beat us 4-1.
I do not know about this. I agree we were a bit tired, but the Carling Cup is a chance to win a cup and go to a European competition. While I doubt a win is in the cards, I think we have to put our best players out there tomorrow. You never know what can happen.
This match is more important than i think we're giving it credit for. The way the leauge is looking so far, it may be a struggle for Fulham just to stay mid table and away from the relegation zone. A win in the Carling Cup could be the only positive we take out of this year and could well save cookie's job come january. If we can take this game tomorrow, arsenal or Man United will be taken out, and I think we've got a decent shot at taking out the rest of the teams especially if we get Watford or Portsmouth. I think we should play the first team and go after this competition with our full strength
I'm in full agreement. Some may disagree and feel we are going to get trounced tomorrow, but it is an important game for fulham and nothing less than a full squad will not do. Again, a 4-4-2 is what we need to run on the pitch...I hear Collins John is maybe healthy for tomorrow which could be a good sub.
Don't get me wrong, I think this match is very important and a full squad should play, I was just saying that a win is gonna be tough given the way we have been playing. The first team and full effort are needed tomorrow. A win tomorrow could really help turn the season around. Then again I thought our season was turned around 3 weeks ago after we beat Newcastle and then beat Forest in a matter of three days.
I enjoy reading things like this from interviews with Cookie. I think he is dead right about it: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/chelsea/4053057.stm
This is probably the only way to get into European comp but, still right now its all about Norwich. Plus we still got FA Cup so it aint like Fulham dosent play another cup match.Have 3 points in league or a win against Scum in League Cup. I say 3 points. The League is still only halfway through there is still time to do well. Last year we were 4th or so and then dropped maybe this year is the opposite.Bottom half then bam we are in a good place(7th-9th).
Is Fulham gonna score 5 on Norwich? I mean you said last week that we should easily score 3 or 4. All of your posts you make it seem like it is so easy to turn it on and off with Fulham. It is not like that. Unfortunately, it is not like BAM......it is like win a few games in a row. Get some confidence going. Also, I am not sure what you are suggesting about tomorrow's match, but there is a reserves tonight against Spurs. Were you hoping all the reserves would play tomorrow against Chelsea? The first team should play tomorrow. The only way to get over a bad loss is to get back on the pitch and get back to work. The first team needs to sack up and play at a much higher level. This game, pending on how hard and driven Fulham plays, could pave the way for Saturday's match with Norwich. I am not even saying they have to win tomorrow, but by showing signs of life and energy, it can build the team up in a much needed way. I guess I am saying a moral victory tomorrow would be nice. A real victory would obviously even be better. I hope I wake up and BAM.....we win. I also hope I wake up in May and BAM....we are in 4th. BAM that.
I said that Blackburn score because Birmingham just scored 3 on them. Also really that League Cup match against Scum compared to Norwich is like a pre season freindly against Canvey Island. We will probably lose tomorrow by alot but, as long as we win against Norwich its all good.Im just trying to keep the board happy when i say we could get Europe its alot better than saying we can only stay in the Prem. 1. Europe is still possible 2. We have 24 matches left.

Dare I ask for predictions? After what I saw on Saturday it's hard to be optimistic. But I get the feeling Chelsea might look past the Carling Cup to their continued league success... granted they've got Newcastle this coming weekend so they aren't too concerned... but even so, they may rest one or two of the starters today. I'm concerned that the game isn't even sold out to Fulham fans... According to the site there were still walk-up tickets available. If only I could have stayed another two days... I'd be broke... but I'd be there... Stupid dollar-to-pound conversion... I was amazed at how many news stories I saw about the weak dollar... how much do we hear about it here? *chirp* *chirp**crickets* Ignore it and it will go away... sorry... political commentary ended... COYW!!!!!
Here's my negative pessimistic prediction 3-1 Chelsea I didn't realize there were still tickets, that is rather pathetic.
At 35 pounds a ticket, the way we played against blackburn, and the fact that chelsea gave us a smacking last time we played them...I'm not totally surprised. If I could afford it, I would fly over once a month!

Damn, Chelsea are playing a lot of their big players, but then again their whole roster is like this.
4-4-2 sounds like it is quite effective right now. Fulham have already had two shots on goal through Cole and McBride.
Wow... it really is loud at the Cottage... sounds like Fulham is playing with much more energy than Saturday... I love to hear that Boca is getting forward... And I think McBride could solidify a starting role with a class performance today!
Ft 2-1 BAH They played better, they'd have gotten 3 points if they'd played like that against blackburn. Chelsea had two questionable goals, we could have won, but didn't. Onto Norwich this weekend and then the FA Cup later this winter.
Re: Ft 2-1 Still have the FA Cup.Now its onto Norwich and this match is gonna test Fulham. They just lost on a late goal and didnt have much confidence going into this match.
