I wrote this back in 2015. Evergreen… “La Federación Mexicana de Futbol is looking for a coach to feed their cash cow up until the heifer is too sick to crap money, and another ranch hand is called in.” Rinse, repeat.
Gattuso is a terrible coach, just as stubborn as Tata. But yeah, he'd light a fire on the players ass for sure lol
Tata's starting to remind me a lot about Chepo's last year. CONCACAF started to decipher how to nullify Mexico's gameplay yet the manager didn't manage to figure out how to counteract it. Similarly, an Olympic team did a deep run in the corresponding Olympics, putting further pressure onto the senior coach. I hope my misgivings are just panic, but...
I don't like that this dude obviously sees too many things differently from virtually everyone else. Alvarado wasn't even a starter with the Olympic squad. Suddenly he's a starter with the senior team in an important game. Too much shit of that sort.
Let’s see how things plays out after this first round of games. Gotta remember we are playing 3 games in less than a week, plus traveling. I expect to see some changes in the lineups for the upcoming games
I was really confused by this as well. though he unfortunately has the excuse of all the absences, maybe not for the exact position but similar players like corona, Lozano, and lainez are all out. who knows what the starting lineup is going to look like when everyone is together
Honestly my whole take on this fuera -anyone who doesn't win - mentality is we're all expecting 90's performances from Mexico. We won a lot because everyone sucked ass back then. Now everyone else has improved their leagues and or academies, while Mexico is still stuck doing things the old ways. Tata isn't bad ( I would have preferred someone else but that's whatevs), but we need to come to grips that we're not all that anymore in our region.
