Chelsea is overrated. OK, I admit it, I was just dreaming. Still, I can hope the day comes when ranking us 35th in the world won't bring laughter, but a spirited discussion the gist of which is that WE are underrated at 35th.
Jesper and the Crew You've gotta be kidding me. Chelsea's got Gronkjaer. That guy is amazing. But, I agree, the Crew are underrated. We have many quality star players on the squad. If they could just learn to finish, we might start winning more games. .
That is pretty comical, especially seeing as how San Jose is behind Columbus, yet is leading the league in points and just beat Columbus 4:3. But San Jose being on that list as well is comical.
Yeah, I don't throw too much to the list. An MLS team will go on a big winning streak in june and july, european teams won't be playing, and mls teams will go up.

If I'm not mistaken, Morelia "floored" us 6-0 in a high altitude location, with half our normal backline out of action. Not saying that the Crew could hang with Chelsea very long, though, especially in their current form of not scoring critical goals and allowing late goals.
Sorry to come invading into your thread but the FSW rankings are rubbish. No MLS team should be anywhere near it. That includes the Metro.
I find it funny that everybody has said that Chelsea would dominate us while speaking nothing of Galatasary. I think that this means that if our boys and the Turkish (Prison) powerhouse go toe-to-toe, the Crew would mop the floor!

Metros suck I agree. Mls teams do not rank up there with the other world teams on the list. But The Metros suck, man. I don't care what the standings say.
latest IFFHS rankings FWIW has THE Columbus Crew (yes, they put The in front) at 150, up from 183. We share the spot with Udinese Calcio and CSKA Sofia.
Do you know how these rankings are determined? I looked at the list and noticed RSL was at 202 while Columbus, as pointed out, is at 150. Thanks for any clarification or insight you might have.
Liverpool is ranked eighth, which implies that their analysis heavily takes into account past accomplishments (and in Liverpool's case, accomplishments from several decades ago...)
