It's not too important, but does anyone else think the Fox Sports World Report studio is the lamest one on television right now? It's even worse than the Sky Sports one. It makes it hard to watch.

Have the producers seen any of the SportsCenter studios? Don't give me the money excuse, it can't cost much more to install some better lighting.

I'm glad their budget goes towards good writing, reporting, new and archival footage, rather than a shiny background.

I don't know, I kinda like the simple look. Though I agree that they need some better lighting.

Isn't that Fox Sports World Canada's studio, not FSC's?

The set they have now is much better than the one before. I remember before it was the two anchors sitting at a Glass table, and when Bobby McMahon was on he sat at his own glass table.

I'd rather any extra funding went to hiring Bobby Robson on a nightly basis.

Did you ever see the Sportscenter studios when the show just got started? Actually for about the first 15-20 years the studio was not so great. It takes a lot of money to upgrade a studio and as Motterman said before, I would rather them spend the money on production and things that will make the show continue to get better. People are always critical of the FSW Report, but are clueless as to what goes into making a show happen each and everyday. Just be greatful we have something to watch every night about the sport we all love.

Exactly! Unlike SportsCenter which doesn't actually contain that many highlights (just full of flashy intros and other gibberish). Kinda like the ugly, fat girl who has to expose a cleavage to distract people from looking at her face.

    Bobby Robson eh?
How about Bobby Charlton while we're at it?

While I do not totally disagree with what you're saying (in terms of the lighting), you'd be surprised at how much cost factors into our show. We're in the process of re-designing the set though for the fall and improving the lighting.

This thread has been printed and sent to our superiors so you're comments have been heard.

It's much better than the design on the American Soccer green screen, but it's all about the content.

As the the FSC brand starts to spread I really hope they throw some cash at their flagship show.
I know your productionteam are doing the best you can, but it's really insulting to have to watch a quality team playing on a shite ground.
Doesn't help anyone's morale, or performance, and makes you look like second class citizens.

Get some Kino's/soft boxes/chimeras for the talent, and ease off on the background levels to warm things up a bit. Don't just light from the grid, get some kickers on the floor too. Also, warmer set colors to bring out the blush on Bobby's cheeks when Michelle brings up Forlan...again.
    But you knowthat already... :D

I don't really mind the studio, and I agree with Motterman. FSWR is fine where it is.
