I remember a while back I was reading an article that praised FSW and said how great it was. In this article there was an interview with somebody high up at the station that said FSW is unique because it is the only channel in the world that truly gives it's audience a chance to see soccer from all over the world. He said that in Italy the networks over there only cover soccer from Italy and in Spain they only cover soccer from Spain and so on. This is not true and FSW definitely isn't the greatest soccer channel on the planet. I spent the past six months in Italy and there's a satelite called Stream. On Stream there are two soccer channels. One can see not only Italy's Serie A and B. There's also about 4 English and Spanish games during the weekend, if not live then tape delayed by 2 hours at the most. As well as 2 Bundesliga and Le Championat matches, along with games from Holland, Argentina, Brazil, USA, China, Australia, and Chile. During weekdays theres the champions league and every match on the calender is offered along with a broadcast which switches between all of the games simultaneously. Now i'm not saying that FSW is a bad network, i just think that they should stop calling themselves the best soccer channel on the planet and they shouldn't lie to people just because they probably won't discover the truth.
It's the best damn channel hear in America! I feel lucky to have it. Although if we had Stream, I would never leave home.
I think I'm almost glad to not have a channel like that. I already spend entirely too much time in front of the tv albeit it sounds fabulous!
Then get every other channel to stop saying 'they're the best/only channel in the world'. Many businesses in the US big-up themselves and bandy words like 'world famous' or 'world premiere' around when we all know that's patently false. It's part of the promotional landscape.
THe bit about Italy and Stream is incorrect. I wont go into explainin all that for you, but you're wrong. You also failed to mention that just that channel alone costs 30$ a month. and you have to have a decoder which costs upwards of 500$ in some cases. Carry on...
Thank you for saving me the time. Since this was his first post, I assume it may just be a troll. Andy
Calling themselves the "best" is not a "lie," its an opinion - at least according to the Federal Trade Commission. See the front page article in the Wall Street Journel (I think today, maybe yesterday) about the advertising concept of "puffing."
The best football channels in the world are Sky Sports 1/2/3/extra/news. Here in the good ol' United Kingdom LIVE football from Argentina to Zambia. and it has Andy Gray
