I amagine that the ESPN guys won't be available for the FSW games. That leaves the question who will do the broadcast? Will they use the local guys? Who would you like to see in the booth?

Are the HD net guys a separate set of broadcasts and broadcasters or are they just simulcasts of MLS games already being shown that are available only on HDTV?

HD net games will use seperate announcers and seperate cameras (so they actually pick the feed up in HD, rather than a conventional camera converting to HD)

I've also heard some of the FSW games will be FSR -simulcasting on FSW, but can't confirm.

Announcers will be finalized in 5-7 days. Commentary will be done in-studio. There will be one on-site "match reporter". I think that will be Christian Miles.

I'd like to see the guy that does PxP for the Rapids, Marc Stout call some of those FSW matches.

He's knowledgeable, but not a yapper, unlike the ABC/ESPN guys who seem to love the sound of their own voices a bit too much.

What's the big discussion for, we all know it will be the one and only Max Bredos.

This is great, MLS gets a network that will support and promote the league, and we get to hear more Max.

    MAX BRETOS IS THE KING

Anyone who thinks otherwise is just plain wrong.

Or a boob, or just full of hot air. I can't stand Bretos.

I could care less as long as it's not the douche bag crew of Stoner and Ty. Plus, I can be downstairs eatin dinner and know when someone scores a goal because of Bretos...he's like a damn fire alarm.

It's not going to be Max Bretos. He and Allen Hopkins are calling Galaxy gamesfor KCAL.

whether or not bretos is the best is debatable...

whether or not he's better than anyone announcing mls games is not.

imo, he's the best of the bunch.....

plus, i can't wait to see the promo ads on fsw....they do a great job of promoting things shown on their channel (*cough* espn)

I love FSW and all, but...

At least ESPN has their PBP actually at the damn game. In-studio commentary is a joke, no matter how hard the announcers try (and JP was admirable during J/K and is during Champions League matches). Of course, I have no idea who pays for Stoner and the boys to travel to games.

yeah i agree that's a little disapointing that they won't be commentating from on-site. but it's splitting hairs, they will have Christian Miles there as a reporter so there really shouldn't be any drop off in infromation. it's not that suprising that's how they plan on doing it as it seems to work pretty well for their international games.

Whoever this Bredos guy is, he has to be better than Bretos.

"mad max" is one of the worst announcers on US tv and a tool to boot.

I read somewhere that Ray Hudson's dog and Jack Edwards would be the featured announcers for the MLS games on FSW.

No, actually that's the Chicago Fire's regional broadcast team.

No, wait. That's not ray Hudson's dog. It's Kenny Stern.
