It is confirmed though, I just don't see it happening. He won't get a chance, they are bringing in Villa. Only possiblity to play would be Henry's replacement on LW but that is pedro's right now.
Pedro's young, I'm sure Arshavin can replace him for now. I like Arsenal but deep down I'd love to see Andrei at a club like Barca/Milan/Real.
Barcelona don't have the money at the moment. If they are going to splash it's going to be for Cesc or Silva or someone young.
That would be sick. Silva dishing it off to Ronaldo ? And Messi would make it easy for Villa, dman that would be insane.
with spanish politcs and banks, it is in a way. they spent 60-70 on ibra, 5 on maxwell. thing is they develop 60% of their squad and then buy the rest. they can sell hleb to make up some money for arshavin
Who are they going to sell Ibra to? Silva I could see. I still can't fathom why any player would pick Real over Barca, and don't say money because they both pay well.
Dima is right. That's why Beckham, Ronaldo, Kaka have wanted to go to Real all their careers. Figo? speaks for itself
I know. It is interesting to compare how big clubs work United for example has a very good academy, but they just sell off all their players to the Championship and lower Premier teams, and use the money to fund their big money buys. Barca's team is mostly homegrown and successful. Arsenal tries it, but is not that good at it. Real just buys up every good young Latin player and hopes they turn out fine.
Yea Figo's a great example. Barca's right there though anyway, if there's such thing as second biggest club it's Barca.
Yeah, and it ruins half of them. I'd rather play at a club where guys in training aren't trying to break your legs. Donovan talked about the difference between Everton and Bayern like that.
I would happily sign for Everton. But seriously I was just using Donovan's words to echo what I have heard a lot about clubs. Read soccernomics and you'll get a better idea what I mean. There is a reason that a club like Lyon does very well every year, despite selling all of its best players each year, and Real bombs out in the first round.
