Pretty listless first half. Hope Fraser lights a fire under them. Would like to Shinyashiki in the 2nd half.

 

Been an odd night all around. In the most perfect example of Rapids not performing up to their usual, even Fleming is miscalling players (instantly correcting himself thankfully) and even calling the ref Drew Moore by mistake.

Hopefully half time adjustments fix all that ails us. After pushing Bassett upfield, we seemed to get a hold back on the game, so a little tweaking, and players not taking poor touches / passes, and we have a chance to pull some points yet!

 

Totally outplayed thus far. Lucky to only be down one.

The injection of fresh legs has changed the face of the game. Rapids looked tired but Galvan, Shinyashiki, and Lewis have picked it up for the team!

Galvan absolutely sat the FSL defender on his butt and put in a beauty of a ball to Kaye for Kaye to score his first in burgundy. Let’s go!

Got a few lucky breaks with VAR but great adjustments in the 2nd half.

 

We played like dogshit most of the game, which I think was about 75% tried legs and 25% not coming into the game hungry enough. The subs made an absolutely massive difference. Love the win...hate what it did to my blood pressure.

Something of note, I think this might be the first time in club history we've walked away from a 3-game week with a full 9 points. @JasonMa can confirm?

 

Update on the Rocky Mountain Cup standings. Both teams are tied with 3 points, Salt Lake leads on goals 4-2. A Salt Lake win or draw in the final match wins the Cup for Salt Lake. A win for Colorado in the final match wins the Cup for Colorado. Margin of victory for either team in the final match does not matter.

 

Great result. Fun 2nd half. Subs 100% flipped the game, brought tempo and energy. Galvan to Kaye goal was nasty.

Rapids now 3rd in the league in ppg behind only NE and Sea. Will be fun to see this lineup tonight begin to gel together going forward.
