If you're like me, it's due to somebody els not allowing you to spend the money on things like pay per view and monthly subscription fees for TiVo, Sirius and other absolute necessities.

Hmmm, so I will be out of town and taping; but I only have 6 hour tapes (and I am way too much of a starving student to invest in new technology, so don't even go there).

Bottom line: I can only tape 3 of the games and I've seen none of them. Can anyone recommend the 3 best? Or, which is the expendable game? Has anyone actually seen all of these games before? (I'm sure a bunch of you have seen the Newcastle final).

I'm inclined to tape the 3 oldest games, as they represent parts of united history which I know the least about. Whaddya think?

I'm sure one of those of us who will be Tivoing it... (I'm not in that group) would be willing to mail you a dvd of the game/s that you can't tape so that you could view it later.

Well, I know I'd be willing to do it in that situation.

Also, Setanta are showing the 1999 Champions League Final at 21:30 on Christmas Day.

For those not watching, just wanted you to know that Teddy Sheringham just scored, 1 min after coming on as a sub for Keane. Man United are up 1-0.

Amazingly, they are playing 2 games immediately following this one! :p

There goes that theory about a defensive midfielder, after Keano went off in that match. We played with what looked like 6 attacks. Sheringham, Cole/Yorke, Solskaer, Giggs, Beckham, Scholes. Then the back four and Schmeical. Damn spelling oh well.

Have fun installing your new computer products eveyrone :d

That was a great match. Scholes was awesome that day. His pass for Sheringham's goal was such class. :)

Yah, I don't quite understand what made that Citeh match a "Manchester United Classic"? Perhaps they didn't have access to enough games?

It was a great game so maybe that's a classic derby. They are showing this one so that half of manshester isn't reminded that UNited dominate them. Wouldn't want to lower thier spirits on christmas.

In that case, someone has to explain the champions world match against barcalona... it was a match that meant nothing.... and hardly made any money... why can't they show the 1999 Champions League final against Bayern Munich??? That's what I wanna see!

Part of it must have something to do with the American audience. FSC thought they would get a large number of viewers if they'd show a United game that has taken place in the States regardless of how irrelevant it is. I'm with you though, I would also love to see the CL final.

Upon reflection. Rooney has much improved since last February, and Ronaldo also muchos. Also, we played much more entertainingly as a team in 1999.

Wish I had known about this. I got up late and then went running, so I only caught the last part of the '83 cup final. What a good game, though! Well played and spirited. It was fun to watch. Just wish they had shown the CL final from '99 as well.

Somebody probably owns the rights to the '99 CL final, and all CL games for that matter, and FSC didn't want to or couldn't afford to show it. That would be my guess especially since FSC doesn't show any Champions League games except what comes with all that Milan stuff they show.

I don't know if any of you guys caught this, but the 99 CL final against SirManc's other side was aired yesterday on Setanta. I didn't find out about this until this morning, and I don't get Setanta nor do I know anyone who does. But, just to say, it was aired last night, just not on FSC.

And it was great too. Jeez, we played pretty crap all game, Bayern hitting the post twice. Nice to relive it again. They had Gary Neville on afterwards and he said they partied for days after.

FSC played a switcheroo on us. They were supposed to show the 94 FA Cup final against Chelski at 10pm CST and then the 77 Cup Final against Liverpool at 1am CST. Well they switched the games up and I was lucky I was paying enough attention that I still got to watch the 94 final at 1am CST.
