Won 1-2, Novakovich played 85' and the winning goal came just after his exit, CB Szyminski at 86'.

7 goals, 4 assists, now he's the #13 striker on the league.

They were unlucky to get nothing out of this, they had the lion's share of opportunities and it was Chievo, a team above them on the table.

Has Serbia ever taken any interest in him?

Unless he gets to a top 5 league and scores 10 plus goals they aren't gonna give him much attention

Why would they? They've got Tadic (Ajax), Milinkovic-Savic (Lazio), Mitrovic (Fulham), Jovic (Frankfurt), Ljajic (Besiktas) and Vlahovic (Fiorientina) to choose from, plus a string of prospects playing for Red Star and Partizan, plus Vojvodina and Novi Sad, at a level that's not far off Serie B.

If he was to try to switch, he'd be about 10th in their depth chart. If they have another "silver generation" crop of youngsters breaking through over the next WC cycle, he'd drop to 15th-20th.

If he's not a potential first-choice for the USMNT, he'll never offer them anything that they need and they can't offer him anything at all.

Another loss (2-0) and they're only 3 away from the red line.

You want to know if he starts ... and Twitter gives it to you in dramatic, slow motion fashion!

    (Spoiler alert: he started today).

Scoreless at halftime. They look to be being slightly outplayed by the stats. Scores elsewhere in the league - whole league is playing simultaneously for the third to last match of the year - are at this point very favorable for their avoidance of a relegation playoff - the right other teams are losing at the half.

Novakovich PK holds up as the winner, 1-0. SPAL didn't manage a shot on goal, so the result seems fair enough. Frosinone vault to 11th in the table, and although it's crowded behind them, they might not need a point from their last two games because of this win.

Two games left and Frosinone has a very winnable one next. I'd say they're safe.

On the bench today after the quick turnaround. Scoreless at half. Should be guaranteed avoiding a relegation playoff after today.

Nova subs in at the 79th, after Frosinone scored an equalizer. 1-1.

Full time 1-1. Although before the match, it would have taken a miraculous series of events to drag them to 16th and a relegation playoff, they are now mathematically safe with one match to go.

Shockingly enough, despite his dry spell, he still leads his team in goals, 2 more than the next player, and tied in assists with one other.
