Yep, shift's over for our guy. Decent game overall, except for the first half of the second.

De facto 2 assists (assist and a drawn PK) is pretty dang good. Especially considering how bad he was the first ~10-15 games of the season....

Forget the assist! Look at those quick feet and close ball control allowing him to get that pass off. Nice play all around from the foot work to the pass. Nova made that look way easier than it actually was.

he was credited for both assists. He now has 7 for the season. Only 2 players have more assists.

I wonder if GB is going to give him the invite? 3 goals and 7 assists in 1438 minutes played is pretty good.

If you ever talk to Mix again tell him he owes me a jersey.

    Appreciate your work with/around YA.

Did you ask him what other opportunities he had before he chose Frosinone?

He benefits from having someone with vision like Dionisi around. Nova makes decent runs often, but most of the time no one notices.

To be honest I haven't spoken with [Gregg Berhalter] since he got appointed,” Novakovich said ....

Why should Berhalter have spoken to him when he wasn't doing anything of note?

He played well 2019 in Holland. Not talking about serie b. He should at least given a look or talked to.

How is that not a wing-forward play? He's superb on the dribble/offensively coming from the wings, and shooting or passing.

Last year w/ Sittard he was exclusively a cf because of his height. That meant his dribbling wouldn't come into play as much and there weren't many passing options.

It looks like now w/ Frosinone he's in a 2 fw setup and his team can build to him more, then join him in attack. So he goes from 2 assists last season to 7 already this one, in just over half the minutes.

I would call him up in March and try him at the left wing-fw position. Have a dearth of options there. Weah just went down again.

He couldn't be in Camp Cupcake. The day USA played Panama he was playing Vitesse, the day after we played Costa Rica he was playing Eindhoven.

The March camp came just when he was trying to survive with his club, they still had some hope, and let's remember his contract with Reading was about to expire and he needed to land somewhere.

No need to.argue. I m just saying it would.have been nice getting a call.from.usmnt coach. Maybe someone in the federation keeps in touch with him. That's okay. We don't know that based on his quote.

    You mean Pulisic's position?

Unless you have CP pegged as a #10 for the US for the foreseeable future, which I think would be a tactical mistake.

Right-wing, because he is a mediocre at best shooter/decision maker. Less shot opportunities from the right, more pass, but that don't require as much vision. Beat opponents off dribble, create danger, defend box-to-box.

Morris is a better fit for the LW position because of his shooting/decision-making (where he's currently beasting), but as of right now I'd play him at cf to get better players on the field and that's what he is by trade.

Novakovich and Reyna battling at the LW, until Weah returns (to form). Novakovich starts at Holland, Reyna's eased in a bit to come off the bench, maybe starting the next one. Could get consideration at the 10 (better decision maker, organized as presser than Pulisic), but we have options there like Pomykal and Lletget. Though Pomykal for this camp would be w/ u-23's. So will Aaronson. Holmes is injured. But normally we'd be fine here starting and depth-wise.

Now down 2-0 on a goal from beyond mid-field and down to 10 men.
