Just what the title says; asked him this morning at the Doak Walker Luncheon in Dallas. It's Not Happening. -bs
That's not too surprising. Afterall, everything that I saw on Bigsoccer was speculation. The rumored started with something like England doesn't have an opponent scheduled, wouldn't be cool if the US played them?
Look, Brushes knows what he is talking about. Bruce had the day off to be in Dallas and Dave Sarachan ran the team today.
oh great, the usa wont play the overrated, overhyped england squad who couldnt even beat a team ranked in the 90's at home recently (macedonia) lets get some real opponents to be excited about shall we? when are we playing brazil?
I'll confirm this.... England's friendly will be against Australia at West Ham United's Upton Park ground on February 12. It's being announced by both the English F.A. and Soccer Australia. I have seen this only in the way of press releases in my e-mail so far-- and I'll dig up the links as soon as I can find them... Cheers, William
http://www.thefa.com:80/application...ontentId=30394&contentType=1&subContentType=1 Still looking for the confirmation link on Soccer Australia's website-- but the fact of the matter is that the USA needs to find another opponent, Arena was right about this... Cheers, William
Uhhh...we beat Germany twice since then too...I'm kind of sick of beating Germany in meaningless games only to lose when it counts. Let's face it, games against England, Brazil, or Germany are all good things for team development...
I really thought it was going to happen! I mean, it was a rumor here! ps: you don't need to sign your posts
