Very happy with his addition, exceptional player with a skillset that we clearly lack. Wish him all the best!
Great player. Good to see some experience join the ranks. Hopefully he has a significant impact on the field and in the dressing room. Love the signing on paper.
Very good signing. Wish we somehow have gotten him earlier. Fighter on the field and technically great.
Good deal. We needed some experience and people who have been winners elsewhere and have the gravitas to speak in the locker room. Basically we need adults in the room and Bernardo is a great start. He's technically so good and a tireless worker and signed for only 2 years. What's not to like. I hope that he will stay healthy like he has been.
🚨 Erling Haaland replies to Bernardo Silva’s official announcement: “See you in semi finals. 👍🏻”😂😂😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/Gftn6N39aA— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) June 17, 2026 Haaland is such a good sport
A football savant if there ever was one. Extremely intelligent and technical, but also such a fighter with huge huge balls. The definition of a winner, a champion through and through. Rare breed honestly. You simply cant but respect a legend like Bernardo Silva. I am worried about his athletic decline though. I know he's never been about sheer athleticism, but he's jst slow on the turn at this point. He definitely lost a gear in the last year or two and it showed regularly. Theres no doubt that hes past his peak already, but hopefully we take good care of him and his mental and technical characteristics outweigh the physical ones. Its a good signing on a free, the reward could be quite high if it works out. Perhaps I am just disappointed because a signing like this signals the opposite of a long term project and squad building. But in a vacuum, in the current context, hes a valuable addition.
he is by far the best midfielder in this team, has to start and play in a double pivot or as an 8 in a 4-3-3 he cant play on the right wing anymore, leave that to Endrick,Fede, the dictator or Arda finally there is a guy who can control a ball, pass and dribble in the middle...Pitarch can learn some things from him but he isnt enough ,need another midfielder...Enzo meh
Thank u Pedja for the wonderful Ruud Van Nistelrooy signing. Directly led to two league titles and what a pleasure it was to see him in our shirt. One of the good guys.
Even though Cannavaro was past his prime, he was starting CB in back to back La Liga titles as well. A position that was a headache for years with failed signings like Walter Samuel and Woodgate.
Too bad he had a stinker today alongside CR7. He got benched at half-time while CR stayed on the pitch.
I kinda feel like he is over the hill or near it but if Jose can manage him well and get the best out of him then it’ll be a good signing.
I hope Jose can squeeze every drop of top flight football he has left. Very skilled and versatile player. Can fix a lot of our midfield problems. I just hope his leg are still there.
I have a feeling that he would be an automatic starter in the first season in his first season. Looks to me miles better midfielder than what we have currently. I hope that we he will have positive impact on our young midfielders - Jude and Arda and also positive impact as a professional in the squad. We've lost that with Modric and Kroos gone.
The guy played nearly 4k minutes for City this season, more than the likes of Foden Doku Reijnders and Nico. Social media is judging him way too harshly on one half of football in a Portuguese side that has historically struggled.
Good player, but was lucky to be playing in Pep's system & I personally don't feel his best is yet to come. Hope he sparks some creativity where others failed
then again people here flip flop on whether Guardiola's a great coach who's system makes players look better or that Guardiola is not all that and is only that good because of the players he has, one day we'll settle on having a mature opinion.
Bernardo can be a quality footballer and still have benefited from spending the better part of a decade in one of the most rehearsed systems football world has ever seen. I think those ideas aren't competing with each other.
Apparently all other coaches tie their best players boot shoelaces together. Gotcha. The guy has been consistently one of best players in the arguably best league in the world. Everything else is for the cows.
