"I have said many times how important Leroy has been for us in good or bad moments. He knows the reason why he hasn't played lately," he said.

"We spoke often with him - myself and my people - on and off the pitch and we want the best. Of course there is competition from the other ones, and in some specific games we need it, and in some specific games I prefer a type of player to have more control but my admiration and trust with him is intact. It's there but I always want more."

Leroy sanes future has to lye elsewhere, he's constantly being overlooked and I do believe he's not a gardiola type of player

Not surprised really, gardiola is very stubborn with his tactics and will never change from the tikki taka even though his record in champions league is average if u regard the club's he's managed

Well.. Sané dribbels with way too much risks at time thus losing the ball very often and, more importantly, often in the early stages of a counter or attack. That's not a problem for counter-attacking teams, they need only a few breaks during a match and because these teams defend deeper, it's useful to take the first touch with full risk at high speed. For a possession-based team like Pep's ManC it's nonsens and quite dangerous because they defend with a high line.

He's talented as hell but with his abilities in the wrong team. Pep has also excellent alternatives this year. That's also the reason why Löw didn't take him to the Worldcup. Our problem there was differently, though so Leroy could've helped a lot but the reasoning was there.

Sane needs to leave City in the Summer.

today City won the FA Cup and with that both him and Gundo have won all 4 English titles.

It's been an interesting strength of city's to have 5 quality forwards so of course Pep will be slow to give this up.

On the other hand keeping them all happy may no longer be possible.

A big story of the season was the emergence of Bernando Silva who became a starter. But with David Silva fading, perhaps he will play more as a true midfielder? Of course KDB is also coming back into the team.

So yeah - Sane had another very productive season but perhaps City can't hold on to him and I guess Pep will choose Mahrez and Silva ahead of him.

Clearly sane has gone down the pecking order despite having another very productive season

I think the german media overstates the position somewhat

His appearances are similar to the season before, and Pep sees the forward line as part of an elite rotation. That's been key to beating out liverpool. Different players have come through with critical performances throughout the season.

So it depends whether he feels he wants to become a true starter, or stay part of a successful group.

I do think a fair bit depends on how Pep plans to use Bernando Silva. With him taking up a wider midfield role, then Sane suffers. But maybe Bernando Silva will take over from D Silva?

In city's key games, Sane started on the bench with bernardo and Sterling preferred. In key games Sterling doesn't get rotated neither does Bernardo. In a season KdB barely played
In 2019 he only completed 90 mins twice

When fit Aguero Sterling Bernardo KdB DM(Fernandinho or new buy) are a lock

Leaving 1 position for Silva mahrez Sane Jesus?

Should Sane sign an extension in that scenario?

His match time is sort of disguised in deception, he has not started any key games really, conclusion, he's not a gardiola type player nor does gardiola trust him

I agree it looks better for him to move somewhere he can start.

I don't really get why City signed Mahrez (having missed out on Alexis).
