    From another as well.

Agreed. A stupid, unintelligent, and classless play. Wouldn't be surprised to hear a nice little fine tacked on to his red.
Revs played a better series, no doubt. They deserved the win. Best of luck over the Crew.
Hope to see you back home come Oct 20th.

You guys are classy fans. Chicago's a better team than they've shown in Foxboro.

I wish Razov was half as classy as the vast majority of Fire fans are.

    Good luck next season, boys.

Best of luck to the Revs the rest of the way. It looked like Heaps was OK after the Razov stomping....no excuse for that whatsoever. Our tv color analyst was thinking that he wouldn't miss any games early next season. If that's the case, that's absolute garbage. I'm thinking 4-5 games.

Thanks Fire fans. It's unfortunate that your team is full of classless idiots. I hate to admit it, but you guys are probably the best fans in MLS ( besides us ;) ).

Well, there's not much to add about Razov's behavior tonight.

I think it has been a tough year for Ante -- not making the Nats, not being able to find a European gig, getting hurt (playing with a separated shoulder cannot be easy) and now the inevitable crash and burn. On the one hand I am sympathetic...on the other hand, well, he can be awfully petulant.

Anyway, I want to extend my congratulations to the Revs and their fans, and I want to express my admiration for the way your team plays.

First off, it is heartening to see forwards work as hard as yours work, defending and moving off the ball. I think Wolde Harris is playing the best soccer of his career right now.

Second, your teams ability to stay in on the tackle and win balls close-in were the difference tonight. Whether its force the turnover or hold the ball, the close-in play was always tough, but fair.

Third, your spacing on the attack, and the ability to make combinations really set you a notch above the Fire in this series. This allows you to almost always advance the ball productively when you do have it, which is critical since you don't have it all that much.

Fourth, and finally, props to Steve Nicol for really molding a group that puts out a team effort. When you look up and down the lineup, what you see is, with maybe the exception of Llamosa, a bunch of journeyman players and one dimensional talent, with no true midfield general, and no one SOOOOO talented (except maybe for Twellman) that you would die to just have him on your team.

Yet somehow, this group plays inspired soccer AS A TEAM, providing evidence that the whole can indeed be greater than the sum of its parts.

That being said, I think you will have your hands full with Columbus. But I would not be surprised to see three close games.

Sorry about Ante. He's an ********************* and I don't want him in a Fire uniform anymore. Good luck Rev's. I hope you win the whole thing.

take this as a good thing, because it is, but i was talking to a revs fan earlier... we were discussing forwards and how they need to be dirty but not go over the line... maybe a little but not too much

twellman is the best at it that i have ever seen in the league... i'd say ruiz, but ruiz will occasionally get a yellow for diving... not that twellman won't embellish a bit too (forwards are suppose to take advantage of anything and everything they can)... but twellman walks the line so perfectly between dirty, effort and talent... it's unreal

enjoy him while you can, he won't be around long...

i have no idea if stern john was at all comparable, i never had the fortune of seeing him play in the league... i'll say that mathis, serna, diallo, and razov can go too far over the line and hurt their team with ejections and suspensions... which makes taylor all the more special

if i had control of the players, i would sell him and ruiz after this year if decent offers came... purely so that no situations like woff (injury) or mathis (injury, headcase, and off year) can lower their worth

the league will find new players, besides they will need to break you guys up after your title :D

I know it's a sacrilege, but I can't help comparing the Revolution to the Patriots in this manner. Adin Brown subbing for, and then upstaging, the veteran Sommer is a carbon copy of Tom Brady. Steve Nicol? A defense-oriented coach. TnT? Troy Brown. Joey? Tedy Bruschi. I could go on, but I've angered the soccer gods enough for one night.

Nice to hear the comments from fans of a team I have always respected with but one exception...and he showed his colors last night.

I lost a lot of respect for Razov when he went out of his way to hip check Wright's head when he was leaning down to tie his shoe laces and the play was thirty yards up field last year. If Ante doesn't get a large fine and suspended for games, then the MLS has just authorized any classless jerk like Ante to hurt a player who is moving on to the next round of the playoffs without threat of any real consequences. My first reaction was banishment from the MLS. In thirty years of playing and watching, I would put that foul up there with the Mexican's heading of Cobi Jones and a player I once sawspit on a ref. His intent was clear and viscious.

Nice to see the class of the Fire are its fans and not its #9. Chicago always has great support and it's good for the whole league and the sport that there is a frim base of fans in Chicago.

Congrats on the win. The Revs were the better team and deserved to advance, even if you do have Franchino on your roster. Gillette Stadium is a fantastic facility, the Revs fans who hosted us for the doubleheader were all great and I look forward to going to more USMNT matches there. Good luck and enjoy the run.

    See you next year.

Wanted to take the time out to wish the Revs well the rest of the way. You deserve to be where you are now. Twellman is one hell of a player and Kamler is a well kept secret.
You guys are a classy bunch too. Best of luck to you.

Best of Luck to the Revs.
They had a great performance vs. the Fire.
The way your backline pulled together without Llamosa speaks volumes.

I hope you guys roll over the Crew into the Finals.

It'll be great to see a semi-final on two great pitches.

Oy!.. what a great fan base the Fire have. And I LOVE the heated rivalry between the Fire and Burn.

This MLS is a 'good thing'.

    ;)
