I read on here once that if you stop him from running then he's got little else to his game, or something like that, which i thought at the time was harsh, he's far far more than just a midfield runner like, say, Henderson

i even defended his passing ability, great allround player IMO, bringing the ball forward is just one of his many attributes, at his best he's nearly unstoppable, his game is growing, and now with confidence coming back he is taking more responsibility in his national team too.

 

With that great performance he’s earned himself a spot on the bench against Celta.

Not quite as silky smooth with the ball at his feet as Luka Modric but still very competent and can get the job done.
If he could improve the technical side of his game a little bit more we'd be more than happy.

Carlo has covid so this must mean some more minutes for Fede and Cama for the next 7-14 days.

 

Yeah, this is the match that we actually need him to start.... not Celta.

If he doesn't and we go KCM, we will most likely get destroyed. Tuchel will get praise as being a genius when the reality is literally anyone can set up a half-decent side to give KCM problems.

 

For me it’s simple, Fede is only 23, if he is available he must play at least 70 minutes of any important game, be it , Celta away ( which is just as tough as Sevilla l) Chelsea, Sevilla or Atletico.


I would start Camavinga too but there is no way in hell Ancelotti benches both Kroos and Casemiro, hell it wouldn’t surprise me at all if KMC are the starters against both Celta and Chelsea.

 

You can't use Valverde like that because he can get injured. The three players we can't have injured in midfield for a success run in the CL are Valverde, Modric and Camavinga.

Those three always need to be managed. Kroos and Casemiro minutes should mainly go to La Liga sides.

If it were up to me I start Kroos, Casemiro and Camavinga (sub Cama for Valverde) against Celta. Then against Chelsea, I run Modric, Valverde and Camavinga.

 

Camavinga, really? I love the kid but our CL success this season rly doesn't depend on him.

 

Well, Camavinga for Kroos substitution changed the midfield dynamics vs PSG. We were gonna get eliminated otherwise. Out of 180 minutes in the tie, we only dominated PSG when Fede and Camavinga freed up Modric to link up midfield and attack.

People are more concerned with names on the back of shirts than actual on field performances.

 

Instead Ceballos gets those minutes now

 

PSG defence and Donarumma changed that game. Absolute implosion.

 

We didn't even pressure Donna or their defense when KCM was playing. Camavinga and Rodrygo substitution allowed us to press them way more efficiently. PSG me midfield dominated KCM in Paris and we couldn't sniff their final third lol.
