Another report from top drawer soccer mentions that some of the other players on the field w/ Fro for Potomac u16's where Kevin Alston and Rich Edgar both are part of the u17 national team down in Bradenton

Hopefully someone that saw this game can chime in and let us know how Fro looked out there with the national teamers

Kinda ironic that the rival of Adu's team is called Landon!

What's with describing him as plodding? He can't be that slow if he's playing with kids 3-4 years older, can he?

    D.C. give or take
Fro is not slow, he's very quick. He's not going to be Freddy quick but other than that his physical package is going to be better than Freddy's and is just simply awesome right now. His positioning is getting better and better as he's been getting more time at the back, since he used to play in the center-midfield (defensively) a while back. His tackling is good and his soccer smarts are there. At the level he is playing, he reminds a lot of a better-built Baresi or a Passarella type player, a guy who can just as easily get involved in the attack as the defense, but doesn't falter at either.

Edit: Like the Libero we've never had.

Don't say that, the suspense will kill me to see how the Adu brothers turn out.

    :)

If Fro is plodding, then that 3-sport star who attended my high school, who was Parade All-American in football, all-state in baseball, and all-county in basketball, and who made big bucks in a 13-year NFL career as linebacker, was Grandma Moses slow. Because when he was 12, he wasn't fast enough to play on any high school teams.

    Plodding. Hah.

Anyone know where Fro plays PDL? Or what he does in the offseason?

Any chance he may see some U-18 time?

He's got to be one of the few 91's with a season of College Soccer under his belt.

if you are talking about the u18 nats, he is no where near good enough. He doesn't even dominate at GMU. Probably a tough spot to be in, huge name older brother, then he is given some huge hype as he gets in his teens too.

I've always thought Fro was more into his music than soccer. Not saying he won't try and go pro but I don't blame him if he doesn't do it. With a name like Adu, people are going to expect big things. I wouldn't want that kind of pressure.

Can we please get back to Fro and his music career?
