This is prob bad luck because I never start the game threads as a matter of superstition but we play today at noon Colombian time.

Anyone know if it's being streamed anywhere?

Hoping that Alzate, Atuesta and Agudelo (triple A) get some minutes playing in the midfield today. Wanted all of them to get minutes in the past qualifying where we badly needed better play from our 8s to transition into attack faster.

I have completely slept on Arias. Him getting picked to start ahead of Agudelo is intriguing.

Good build up for Borre to open up the score.

Atuesta's shoulder injury last year truly came at the worst time for the NT. We were screaming for someone with his aptitudes.

Don't bother it just now has the annoying cover to get you to watch it on another site. Just look on Facebook for live feeds of this match and you will always find at least one.

They took their foot off the gas big time, but there were some really good offensive movements for a solid 25 minutes.

The right side especially looked strong. Munoz always works hard, Arias plays selflessly, and, most importantly, Atuesta knows when to make runs. We've been missing that big time from the guys we put next to Barrios.

I'd like to see both Campaz and Agudelo come on. That might mean switching out the two wingers (Arias and Suarez), but I wouldn't mind changing the formation a bit to have both of them work as 8/10s.

just odd to name the coach right before this game….

also isn’t he the u20 coach who is coaching the u20 at Toulon?

A lot of these guys SHOULD have been playing. You swap in Diaz and Sini for Suarez and Arias and you've got something very close to what we should be fielding based on form.

It's pretty incredible that this game--literally the most meaningless game Colombia has payed in 4 years--can go from making me more entertained by Colombia than I have been in the past year to as disgusted as I've been by Colombia for the past year.

Agudelo and Campaz--the most promising attacking prospects on the squad--spend the entire 90s minutes looking on from the bench as we desperately try to hold onto a 1-0 nothing lead against Saudi Arabia in a friendly.

And people think we should've called more players for this...

this pretty much sums it up. Started out promising and even a goal. Then for the last 70 miinutes or so, not very entertaining to watch. These guys do want to be part of the main team correct?

Seems correlated to Alzate and Atuesta coming off, no?

By the time I tuned in it seems like we had half the side playing out of position due to bizarre sub patterns and someone at the FCF is trying to get a cut of Estupinan's next move because that sub made no sense having midfielders you could have brought on to retake control of the game. (For context, we took of Eder who was playing 5 and replaced with a 9 precisely when SA was taking more of the midfield and everyone had to shift on the field)

Edit: Forgot to mention, Helibelton was awful. Killed several opps to attack by being terrible.

This callup was a year ago. What kind of a bizarre call up was this

Also when did Cardenas manage the team? Somehow I don't remember any of this

One of those things where the Fed was like well, we did not qualify so let's just have one of our Youth managers coach the game and callup some new blood and guys who rarely get a chance.
It was the first time we saw Arias which was a positive.
Atuesta looked good too. Hopefully he gets healthy and plays somewhere.
