I'm really happy with some of these call-ups. I'm not sure whats Janczyk purpose, but at least it's a good start for his career. I wouldn't mind a tie, I think it's more important in how our team plays.

Looks like Leo shares NumberSoul's sentiment about Janczyk...but I guess he's been called up to the U-21's against England. But I have no idea what Piszczek is doing there...

    I agree....Piszczek does not deserve a call-up. very puzzling....
What are your thoughts on Pazdan. I will be honest I know very little about him.

It's a friendly so expect A squad for first 45 minutes, with a few subs in the second half.

    3-1 for Poland.

Set piece defending was just abysmal. That has to change. Bad game almost unanimously for the team. Hopefully they can make some changes and improve that stuff in the future.

In a word, pathetic. To be honest i dont know why we keep playing US. 3 set pieces, 3 goals, not much more besides that, except for that brutal miss by LD. Anyways thats my 2 cents. WAKE UP or it will be 3 and out in euro.

i meant more from the point of view that the matches are boring, and really bring nothing to the table developing a team, US runs down the ball real well, and defends as a team well, but to be honest its like playing a fast Norway team that dives around the penalty box. BORING. Anyways congrats, you win we sucked. Thats about it.

Well it has to bring something to the table. I mean if you lost three-zero. It's got to show something that you need to work on. In this case: set pieces and scoring goals at least. And we don't dive around the penalty box. I thought it was pretty entertaining, not boring. But that's probably because we were winning.

Absolutely true. D was brutal on set pieces, and you are right at the fact i am frustrated by my teams pathetic display, its just that we have played the US 3 times now in 4 yrs, and learned absolutely nothing.

Well, for your sake, let's hope 3's a charm. Hey, maybe Peter Novak can be your next manager. He'll change stuff around. Probably put you in a 3-5-2.

Heh, i wouldnt give up on Leo so quickly, hes still getting used to the fact that our players tend to overestimate their standing, and occasionally have to be brought back down to earth. If anything this match should have served that purpose. When they work hard, and " leave it on the field" they are capable of good results. Friendlies as far as im concerned are meant not so much to be successes score wise as much as performance wise, in preparation for real competitions. Today we lost to you guys on both accounts.
Good luck in WC qualifying later this yr.

Strangely enough I thought that Polish defense played well outside of the set pieces. And Lewandowski was perhaps our best player, both defensively and offensively. What sucked, though, was the terrible defending on set pieces (geez, I know I'm not saying anything enlightening here), and the inability to create chances. Zurawski, Piszczek, Lobodzinski and anyone in our offensive midfield are all to blame for that. And most importantly: while the US team did everything well on their set pieces (most of their corners looked dangerous), we could do jack sh!t with ours. If I were Leo I'd seriously reconsider Zurawski's role, and would pray for Blaszczykowski's speedy recovery.

I can't really blame Brozek, he got absolutely no service, but Matusiak at least tried to create on his own, and so deserves more credit and certainly should be given a chance on the Euro team.

As for Leo, starting with a somewhat experimental squad and formation is probably his biggest mistake up to date.

It wasnt just the set pieces, there were a couple of other situations where the D was disorganized, not even mentioning the gift that LD got. At least so it seemed to me. I agree about the lack of service to strikers. That being said why is Jelen not even considered for a place on this team, someone with his pace could stretch the opponents D, and help create some chances.

Jelen would have done well against us. Bocanegra and Onyewu are both slow as hell.
