Vanuatu hosts New Caledonia tonight at 11:00 P.M. USA Eastern, which is between 7 and 8 hours from now.
One site says Solomon Islands vs. Vanuatu and Fiji vs. New Caledonia were this morning USA Eastern time, but it doesn't have the scores. Another site says Fiji won 3-0 but doesn't know about Solomon Islands vs. Vanuatu.
New Caledonia 1-3 Mauritius New Caledonia scored on a penalty kick in the 27th minute and led 1-0 at halftime. After all the goals, Mauritius got a red card in the 90th minute. It was in Lautoka, Fiji.
These times are USA Eastern: Fiji vs. Mauritius on Saturday at 11:00 P.M. Chinese Taipei vs. Solomon Islands on Sunday at 6:00 A.M.
Chinese Taipei 0-1 Solomon Islands Benjamin Totori scored the only goal on a penalty kick in the 41st minute. An OFC team other than New Zealand beat a team from another confederation. In the FIFA Rankings, Chinese Taipei is 124th and Solomon Islands is 143rd.
Singapore 4-3 Solomon Islands Ramli gave Solomon Islands the lead in the 4th minute, and nobody scored for about half of the game until Feni equalized in the 48th minute. Solomon Islands led 2-1 and 3-2 before losing, as Quak scored in the 77th minute to tie it at 3, and Harun scored an 86th minute winner. Singapore is 160th in the FIFA Rankings. Solomon Islands is second in OFC and 139th. It's the first time Solomon Islands played a game in which both teams scored at least 3 since New Zealand beat them 4-3 in the OFC Nations Cup on 10 June 2012, which was 33 games ago. The other times they played a game in which both teams scored at least 3 were a 5-3 win in a friendly at Papua New Guinea on 14 June 2003, a 3-3 draw with Fiji in the South Pacific Games in Tahiti on 24 August 1995, a 4-4 draw with New Hebrides in the South Pacific Games in New Caledonia on 13 December 1966, and a 6-3 win over New Hebrides in the South Pacific Games in Fiji on 30 August 1963. According ELO, the 6-3 win was Solomon Islands' first game, and the 4-4 draw was their fifth game. Today was their 183rd game, so the 6 times that both teams have scored at least 3 goals is 3.3 percent of their games. I looked up New Hebrides, and that is the country now called Vanuatu.
Four OFC teams had a match they did not lose: June 14: Malaysia 4-1 Solomon Islands June 15: Vanuatu 1-0 Mongolia June 16: Singapore 2-2 Papua New Guinea June 16: Sweden 4-1 New Zealand June 18: Singapore 1-1 Solomon Islands June 19: Qatar 0-1 New Zealand (in Austria and abandoned at halftiem due to racial abuse) June 20: Malaysia 10-0 Papua New Guinea Malaysia is 137th in the FIFA Rankings, but had two great games.
October 10: Solomon Islands 1-0 Vanuatu (this was before Solomon Islands 1-0 New Caledonia that I posted before) October 13: New Zealand 1-1 Congo DR (in Murcia, Spain) October 13: Papua New Guinea 0-1 Vanuatu
Solomon Islands 2-1 Fiji Fiji scored in the 15th. Solomon Islands scored in the 77th and 90th. They play again in a couple of days, and this month also has Guinea vs. Vanuatu at a neutral site, Papua New Guinea vs. Sri Lanka, Egypt vs. New Zealand, Central African Republic vs. Papua New Guinea, and Brunei Darussalam vs. Vanuatu. There will be New Zealand vs. Thailand on 5 April and 9 April, and Mexico vs. New Zealand in USA on 7 September.
Solomon Islands 0-2 Fiji Mohammed Raheem scored in the 44th, and Roy Krishna scored in the 66th. Krishna's 35 goals in 50 games as of December 1, 2023 are the most goals and most caps for a Fijian player.
New Zealand will also play vs Croatia or Tunisia, depending on results. All are in a tournament in Egypt.
