I don’t think I have seen a game thread this empty in a long time. This pretty much sums up the interest I have in this World Cup cycle unfortunately.
Lmao he’s number 7 right? I was thinking this guy is slow ass hell and just looks like he isn’t even trying and giving lazy passes the few times Nigeria has pressed our defense. Also, why not give Flores some minutes? He has more potential than most of the players on the field.
According to the TUDN guys, this game was the last opportunity for a few fringe guys, so in that sense the crap lineup makes sense. Still, Pizarro starting continues to be a head scratcher.
Not a good game. A decent goal for Gimenez who followed through on the play and was rewarded with a goal. An amateurish mistake by Cota followed by an equally head-scratching own goal by Nigeria. That said, if they win all their games like this at the WC I’ll take it.
