TV rights, endorsements, advertisement (in 2 countries) is where I'm going to guess they get the bulk their $....not playing in football stadiums.

If only soldier field was empty then Raul would've put that chance away...

Our main problem is the football culture...
The coaches are the ones who are deciding to not give young guys a chance in favor of old slow guys...This is our main problem..
If they would give young guys a chance. Players would develop younger and be more in shape. Which will make them more favorable options to European clubs..

Change this and we sky rocket....So what does this have to do with a few friendly matches each year...What?

I didn’t watch the game but Jimenez has been ass and I’m sure he continued to be ass.

We need a real proven gol scorer on the seleccion and Raul has never really been it. He was on his way but that injury set him back and he’ll probably never be the same.

ChichDIOS please forgive us and save us.

all this talk from Tata about “Raul es nuestro goleador y tiene que recuperar su forma” it’s never happening. Bring cheech back and at least die swinging not with half a player.

    Exacto!

This is stubborn ass Tata trying to force feed us Rulo when we’ve got the proven gol scorer and all-time leader. Hopefully some of the younger guys develop and fast.

On my way out of stadium, I saw a paisa with a press credential. I was chatting with him while waiting for my peeps to get out of the bathroom and he mentioned that there are rumors among journos that FMF is negotiating with Piojo to come back because they think he will bring back Chicharito and convince Vela to come back at least for the World Cup... supposedly Vela has quietly registered interest in coming back if Piojo is coach... not sure how accurate any of this is but definitely interesting...

For sure, who knows how true it may be, it’s just looking bleak at this point, some people point to how we looked bad in the 98 pre WC friendlies and then had a nice wc, I don’t bank on that happening again and that team actually impressed during the hex and pulled off a 3rd place in copa America 97 unlike this team that has looked terrible for a few years now.

It amazes me how Johan Vasquez did not play a single minute in these friendlies.

Every cycle is the same fvcken story. Why do we always hold on to these has been players.

Now I remember why I lost interest in the National team.

Another game I’m glad I didn’t watch from the sound of this thread. At this point it’s time to become a plastic next World Cup, going to the Asian market to get a Japan jersey asap

It just doesn’t make sense. Didn’t Tata say something like year that Lainez was the future or something along those lines? I don’t understand how you can say that and not even give him garbage minutes.

I am guilty of watching the game, to add insult to injury, during the game I saw some publicity boasting about this being the 100th NT game in some US tour, so rubbing it in our face that they are making money with no regard to the team.

Anywho, I hope that players are just "tendiendole la cama" al Tata and that under a different coach they would do better, odd that they would not score, they have scored 8 goals in 10 games in 2022, and this is not against some powerhouses, this was mostly against ConcaCRAP teams and Nigeria, Uruguay and Ecuador. They scored one against Honduras a team that was doing terribly, none against Guatemala??!?!? Playing against mostly (not calling US crappy, I said mostly) crappy teams (not including Uruguay) they are 0.8 goals per game??? really? Something does not check out.

    /p

Agreed! Lainez has not been good.

He should have at least gotten garbage minutes though.
