Believe it or not, yeah, those guys (Jurado too). As unapppetizing as those options are, Tala and Malagón have been that bad and you cannot settle with those kind of options with a WC around the corner. And not only those positions. We've known for a while that guys like Sánchez and Orbelín have been mid at best, bad at worst and Aguirre should've tried someone else there (Denzell García? José Castillo?) or at least brought a better backup than a Kevin Álvarez that hasn't been great at club level and doesn't seem 100% after being injured. And about start working ASAP on development, I agree.
Sebastian Jurado is not going to do jackshit. All those guys you mentioned do worse than the Liga MX players who play in the NT and don't cut it, they aren't going to do better in the NT. Stuff like that is super SUPER rare that a guy explodes in the NT as opposed to his club level and this is "Hobbit Bermudez Syndrome" to the max. Mexico always has that and it's insane how we can figure out that the answers is hidden away in X or Y player in your club and that the coach is just not seeing it.
Hard to tell when we haven't seen them there. I'm not even looking for a stellar performance, just an average one.
It's not the hard to tell that players who do worse in Liga MX will be doing worse in the NT. And the fault that Mexico has nothing going on in Goalkeepers isn't Javier Aguirre's for not giving playing time to goalkeepers that are worse in their clubs than the ones playing.
So... your solution is to keep rolling with guys who are not cutting it and keep showing they can't cut it?
"Si no hay, no hay" . Like I said the "solution" is only for a miracle of Ochoa and for Acevedo to get the level but if Mexico is screwed in a position, they aren't going to get better just cause. The worse thing is going "Actually the answer is right there and Aguirre is the one at fault for not seeing it"
at this point we might as well roll out Jurado or hope Alex Padilla makes it in Europe. Mora, Camberos, Obed (I can't believe i am saying this but thank god he is in the MLS),D. Ochoa, are our best bet for Europe from this squad. Stephano Carrillo was not called up but he is looking like a dud in the Netherlands.
