I would have imagined that a mundial would have made these guys closer, although I know not every guy from both teams fought, to see Tenorio, Urrutia, Espinoza, Delgado and all the rest fight after being so close (almost like brothers) in the world cup is just really saddening to the ecua fans all over

Look at Noel and Liam Gallagher of Oasis...they ARE blood brothers, not just "brothers" for one summer because they play football together, and have a common interest; and they fight, I mean really fight. Not excusable, but it happens. And yes, you are right, it is very sad.

ECUADOR FRIENDLY ON US DOCKET Eugene Peysakh for Yanks Abroad Thursday, January 11, 2007 Although no official confirmation has been released by US Soccer, FIFA has already included a March 25th Ecuador match on the US Men's National Team's 2007 schedule. The friendly will be preparation for the 2007 Copa America, to which the Yanks have accepted an invite. Originally scheduled to be played in New York, the match will now most likely occur at Washington DC's RFK stadium. The 'Nats have played Ecuador on nine previous occasions, winning only once in March 2002. The previous eight match-ups resulted in four draws and four losses, with all but one being played in the United States. This meeting with the World Cup 2006 darlings will be Bob Bradley's third game in charge of the Men's National Team.
