Well defense imo wasn't terrible, it's turnovers causing trouble like it always does. Moreno and Ayala not great, a bit of a concern.
I watched the replay and indeed it was Jonathan that lost the ball. Ayala tried to recover but he completely mishit the ball for the clearing lol
The midfield on paper should be the best Mexico has to offer but I don’t see it. I like to see both Guardado and Jonathan swap positions. Have Jonathan and HH going forward with Guardado playing the holding midfield position.

Playing Herrera at the CDM position is a waste of his talent. Mexico is a much better team with Herrera higher up the field.
I’ve never liked the idea. HH should be playing as much forward in the pitch as possible. His personality and attributes are not of a defensive player. Especially not at a position that is critical covering the CBs.
