I would almost call it a wash. He did do a couple really good Rafa passes like nobody else does, but he also gave the ball away the same amount and probably could have gotten a yellow on the hit from behind the back. For me it's about liability, going half speed in a friendly is a little different than going for 30-60 minutes against z germans.
Wonder how the situation develops if Machin keeps having good games today and plays the first game. Do you stop the rhythm? do you wait for the inevitable double yellow from Moreno??

I like that midfield. Of the 3, I hope Guardado is deployed at CDM. I expect (hope) this is the last time we see Ayala until the tournament is over.

I’d venture to say Oribe has played better than Cheech and Rulas in the leadup games. Both with the people around him as well as making plays by himself. Ayala tho can gtfo.
