I'm wondering why Russel Teibert has also fallen out of favour.

From what I read, this is a chance for some of the players more on the fringe of the CMNT to get their chance to show how they could fit into the picture.

I wouldn't describe that roster as "fringe" overall but it does include some fringe players and omit some regulars.

    Here is the answer:

    ______________

The biggest miss will of course be Atiba. I understand why he might have declined though it's a shame not to have him.

I wonder with this "evolution" that has been talked about, whether or not they'll go with the same-old 4-1-4-1 or try something different. Does canada have the personnel to try a 4-3-3?

Not sure how long this will be up for but here's the full match. Canada did, in fact, line up in a 4-3-3.

Even though it was a friendly vs the #96 team, 4-0 is a pretty good result.

I could get used to seeing Canada score lines like that! I realize Mauritania is ranked 96 but we're ranked 103 so on that basis it should be pretty even. I know this wasn't our all out, strongest possible line up. Does anyone know Mauritania well enough to comment on how strong a team they put forward?

Let's not kid ourselves, Mauritania is a terrible team composed mainly of domestic players.

So the same as Canada then?

Seriously, the last time we played them we tied 0-0. What was different about this time?

I'd guess that the real difference this time was coaching and and more aggressive game strategy.
