I was able to work a couple of tickets out of the BRFC ticket office, so I'll be at Ewood Park this Saturday (which means that my first game ever will be an EPL match) to see Friedel and Howard in action. I plan to get quite a few pics, so I'll post those when I get back next week. Hopefully Blackburn can get something out of this one. If it is to be a draw I wouldn't mind seeing 0-0 with a number of great saves on both sides. Here's to the best for both of our keepers in this one.
If you're really a Blackburn fan, you should probably root for a 1-0 Blackburn win, with the goal coming on a PK. Throw in a couple of saved PKs for each side so that each keeper can look like the man. Kind of like the time my wife bought me tickets to a Venus vs. Serena tennis match and aksed me for whom I was rooting. I answered: "A fight."
I would be thrilled with 1-0 to Blackburn, but considering the home form this season and the opponent, a point out of this one would be nothing to scoff at. I just can't believe I'm actually going to be there, but I'm sure the reality will begin to set in once I step on the plane tomorrow.
