Cant believe no one else started one of these. It's 10 minutes in and it's 1-1. Matt Taylor scored past Brad with a brilliant free-kick. Then Pederson slapped Pompey right back with an equally brilliant free-kick. Entertaining game so far, very wide open and both teams going for it.

Brad makes a save from Lua-Lua. First real thing he's had to do, picking the ball out of the net doesn't count.

Re: Friedel: Blackburn V Portsmouth 1-2-06 I agree. Blackburn really dictating the play the last few minutes or so, Kuqi nearly pounced on a crappy back-pass but Westerveld cleared. Matteo of all people almost got in a goal scoring position but was blocked.
Brad's throw was intercepted by O'Neill but he was lucky that Pederson was tracking back. Bit of a mix up between Westerveld ans Stefanovic there, Kuqi gets a header off but it drifts wide by around 5 yards.
Corner to Blackburn after some good work by Dickov. Pederson takes, Portsmouth screw up the clearance.....then Nelson screws up his shot. EDIT: Bentley gets crunched again, this time by Cisse, yellow card. Both of Portsmouth d-mids are on yellows, getting the impression they wont finish with 11 men.
Great play by Pederson down the left, taken down by Priske. Savage takes the free-kick and it's cleared almost on the goal-line by Stefanovic. 2-1, another Reid thunderbolt is saved by Westerveld, but he could only parry it into the path of Dickov who made no mistake with the header, poachers goal.
3 minutes to be added on. Reid again spanks the ball on the half volley, just a bit high and into te stands. Somwhow the ball ran through to Dickov, onside, and he hit straight at Westerveld, probably should have done better but Stefanovic was on his shoulder. There's half-time.
Second half changes, Todorov on for Dario Silva, who didn't actually do anything in the first half. EDIT: Yellow card for Stefanovic, tackle from behind on Dickov. 3 Portsmouth playersm on yellows and all of them defensive players.
Free-kick in Pederson range, a high foot by Priske and on Pederson, and he's still down injured, so maybe Reid will have to take this one. Emerton's warming-up, but Pederson has got back to his feet and his walking to the sideline. Savage and Reid over the ball..........Savage strikes it and it's about a yard or two wide of the post. Pederson is now back on.
HAHAHA, that was sooo funny, Taylor went to strike the ball and missed it completely and fell over. Ooh, Savage with a defense splitting pass, Dickov couldn't control, Pederson's cross-shot cleared for a corner, corner comes to nothing.
Griffin with a tackle on Savage that Robbie himself would have been proud of. Savage with the free-kick, Matteo couldn't reach it and it's out of play. The buzz has really fizzled out of this game, not much happening compared to the first half. Ball flashed across goal by Kuqi, Dickov couldn't get a touch on it, nor could anyone else for that matter. pederson booked for a late tackle on Priske, knee high so not really a complaint. Emerton is coming on for................Bentley, and also Dickov coming off and Bellamy is on. Andy Griffin is the worst player ever might I add. A Portsmouth free-kick about 25 yards out, and again Matt Taylor is teh player over it............into the wall, comes back in, Lua-Lua has a goal dissallowed, amile offside.
Friedel just cleared the ball................................ That's the way this game has gone. Bellamy cut the ball back to Savage, who just well, it's hard to explain, it's as if he fell onto the ball but managed to hit over. Weird. Robert is on for Cisse.
Mad goal-mouth scramble, bodies flying everywhere, Brad was out as far as the penalty spot, Savage cleared spectacularly. Great strike by Taylor, and Brad saves theday with a great one-handed save down low to his left. Taylor off and some guy called Aradas on, never heard of him.
4 minutes to be added on. Bellamy playing the ball into the corner, and wins a throw-in. That could be dangerous though......brillinat play by Bellamy, he turned Priske, Emerton had an empty goal but somehow Griffin blocked the shot, probably the only thing he's done right. Tugay on for Kuqi. Reid named the Blackburn MOTM, not the "official" MOTM however, that still hasn't been named yet. Last chance for Portsmouth to get the ball up with 30 seconds left, cleared by Reid, and Griffin's lack of control gives Blackburn a throw just where they want it(the praise must have gone to his head), and now Griffin fouls Savage. Anyone who has an aspiration to play this game professionally, just watch Andy Griffin and never give up, anything is possible. Full-time, Blackburn up to 8th. I need water.
The official MOTM has gone to Pederson after all, and he deserved, he was everywhere. Scored a goal, gave Priske hell, defended when he could and took some rough tackles. Great player.
