I..........am..........SO..........freakin' tired of this bullcrap. Also disappointed with Steve Nicol, 'We're getting good results because JK is a good coach.' ....sigh.... From the article: "He (JK) added: "The transition is happening step by step. We're playing against the bigger nations, we're attacking those bigger nations and holding our own against them." Ah, Dumbass, we have been playing against the bigger nations, attacking those bigger nations, holding our own against them........and let me add, beating those bigger nations - in meaningful tournaments - before your useless ass got here. Then he adds: "There's no growth without taking risks. And there's no growth without failure along the way. We're getting out of our comfort zone, and we're making some big strides forward." You, JK, could have stopped at, "There's no growth." My Dear GOD, it is so hard to cheer for our national team. EDIT: Oh, and I am sick and tired of hearing "out of our comfort zone" as an excuse for our failures.
United States is "fragile and disconnected" in comparison to some of the systems in place for world football powers such as England, Germany, Spain and France. England is a world football power? LOL. Not sure if that was JK talking or the author adding it but ..... come on man.

On the stadium front... http://www.twincities.com/2016/07/08/st-paul-planning-commission-approves-stadium-plan/
some people mocked me when i said a ST base of 32 000 was a distinct possibility- it looks like i even underestimated and the numbers will be + 32 000- WOW!! the MLS really knew what they were doing- lets hope they have it right for the next round of expansions in 2017 and 2018
well done to the impact owner, joey saputo, for bringing in quality players, paying the bucks and changing the direction of the team, including at the turnstile- when they get donadel and ciman back, they will be a formidable team, albeit the puzzle of what to do with drogba because the team does better without him in the lineup- didier will be their ace in the playoffs and MLS Cup IMO and NO, NO, NO to balotelli coming to MLS- like his career, any team that does take him on will have a ton of issues to deal with- on-field and off-field- a big talent when he is focused, but that never lasts too long- its always about poor mario being misunderstood and being picked on when the shit hits the fan- such a waste of a talent that could have been so much more
can somebody refresh me- what will be the money saved by MUFC with the desired tax breaks from the state?
Property tax exemption - I've read estimates of that being around $3 million/year, and would apply only to the stadium and not any other development planned for the site (shops, apartments, offices, etc.). They also were looking for a one-time sales tax exemption on the construction materials, also worth an estimated $3 million, but as it turned out, that law was already on the books for the construction company to apply for a refund after the fact because the stadium meets the standard set by the law. So, actually, the property tax exemption is the only ask.
