And as we've seen all too often, superior professional artist design techniques don't necessarily make for a better team crest (see Portland Timbers' original MLS badge before fan protests led to a redesign).
I remember Juventus' redesign went great with artists and brand experts, but quite bad with football people. That redesign to me was criminal.
You hear on the news all the time, "Experts now say...", which means that what they are saying now is different from what they were saying before. Which begs the question, if what they were saying before was wrong, what qualifies them as experts?...
Probably the fact that they can take new data and revise their beliefs based on it, which seems in short supply these days
Sorry, I meant it as a joke. But since you brought it up... Before the season began, I believed the Revs were a playoff team. Based on additional data the season provided, my belief is revised. Doesn't make me an expert.
