Lookin good, we will most likely have 3 of the big guns competing with the best of the best in September.

Marseille's financial troubles seem to be old news, today they announced they will be going after Auxerre's Cisse & Boooomsong, Sochaux's Pedretti & Nantes' keeper Landreau. All of them young French internationals.

Monaco's 87 million Euro deficit will also be taken care, with new investors stepping in with an injection of 120 M. Euros.

Lyon will hopefully keep the core of their players with the possible exceptions of Govou and Carriere.

These are all high quality teams in my opinion, and next year, as most of you know, there will be no group stages in the second round of the CL. I think this will be a huge advantage for our teams, why? it's hard to explain, but on 2 games, French teams can compete with the best of em. It's our consistency in the group stages that seems to be very poor.

So, I think 2 teams will make it to the quarters or beyond next year.

    Any thoughts from you guys?

I agree that it will be nice for France to send teams to the competition that people have actually heard of ;)

Looking good for l'OL and Monaco, as far as making the top 3. I'm still hoping that Marseille slips up and lets Bordeaux in...:)

Exactly, I really like Auxerre and all, but we need to see the PSG's, Om's, Bordeaux's, Monaco's and Lyon's, these teams can do some serious damage.

P.S: too bad about Bordeaux, they have a great team and awesome fans. I would take them over Monaco.

yeah...we'll see what's LEFT of the team though by the time the next CL rolls around :) Still a good chance to qualify for the UEFA, though...

I always cheer for ALL the french teams in all of the competitions (yes, even Marseille). At least ONE of them needs to prove to be semi-competitive next year...the league needs a kick-start

Can someone please explain to me the logic in putting 120 mil into a club that is losing money?
