Albert with 360+ minutes, Geyoro with 330+ minutes, and Groenen with 225+ minutes (including her first half vs Reims) in recent weeks with PSG. A lot more load management/rest in club football for Groenen (at United beforehand as well) than with the Dutch NT.

De Almeida, Karchaoui, and Martens were all not even in the matchday squad, and Baltimore and Hunt only played the first half. Groenen was the only outfield player that remained on the bench. Not sure what's up with Fazer, who has not impressed all that much in her limited minutes to start the season.

Chawinga has been such a good addition to the team. Another goal and assist today. Baltimore's been showing her preseason form lately; she played an important part in Katoto's goal, and her goal right at the end of the first half was very well-struck.

Well, she's been the top scorer of Serie A Femminile last season and, as far as Italian league still is from the top-European leagues, it was quite clear to anyone watching her play in Italy that she was a different level and she was destined to a heck of a career. :coffee:

    Table

Lyon and Paris FC get away from the pack, Paris SG enter the play-off zone for the first time.
At the bottom, Bordeaux are just one point ahead of Dijon and St-Etienne.

Big announcement from Paris FC who have decided to make the entrance to their Ligue 2 and D1 Arkema games free for all the fans.

Champions League Group stage tickets still need to be bought.

The only downside of this is offering free tickets means troublemakers could come to disrupt the games.

Completely rested, suspended after one half, completely rested, and postponed. That’s how it’s gone for Groenen for PSG’s last four league matches. Having to postpone a match because of poor pitch conditions is just not good at all.

yeah Storm Ciaran hit France very hard, many games were called off. This one was unfortunately on a poor pitch.

Lyon three points clear of Paris FC and eight clear of Montpellier and Fleury.
Paris SG nine points behind now, with two games on hand.
Guingamp, Dijon, Bordeaux and St-Etienne are the four teams fighting to avoid relegation.

It is thanks to the extend rest offered to her by Diacre when she was blacklisted for a long time

Dijon’s first goal was frustrating. That was sloppy from Groenen and took gloss off a largely good/great performance. She was then subbed off (planned before the error/goal).

We have to talk about Geyoro’s goal. This should end up as one of those Twitter videos praising possession goals. From 9:23 to 11:03, there was not a single touch or at least pass from a Dijon player. Every player made a pass (assuming Picaud threw the ball to Albert or maybe another PSG player), and Katoto, who finished with a great assist, was the only outfield player to make just one pass. By my count, Le Guilly made 5, and Baltimore and Groenen both made 4. It was a 30 pass sequence. Just a fantastic team goal.

Full credit to Dijon for making it 3-2, but PSG were just too good for them offensively. Chawinga is absolute class, and Vangsgaard is scoring a lot lately for club and country.

Geyoro’s goal also wasn’t full of blah blah passes. Is there a Goal of the Season award? I don’t care that it was a tap in; has there been any other goal so far with that many consecutive passes (and many good opposition half passes at that)? If so, let me know.

Yes there is one award. Lieke Martens won it last year.

Shoot, I somehow forgot about that. Thanks. Geyoro’s goal in all likelihood won’t be nominated, but I’d be surprised to see a better team goal for the rest of the season.

Question. Any developement for this "fireworks match" (PSG- Reims). Will it be replayed?

We don't know yet, the League is still working on the file. They have to determine if PSG are responsible or not.

PSG was the side responsible for match safety... on the other hand the club isn't responsible for what happens outside of the stadium. From what I recall you said the match was moved to different grounds in that day - question now remains if all exisitng procedures were observed with that move.

PSG with 2 matches in its hand, so virtually 18 points

Why in god's name did Amandine Henry sign with LOSC? Is she just killing time until the next NWSL season starts?

Yes it is a loan to keep her fitness level as she has started training with them. We do have crucial League Nations game coming up in December and February and also in term of Olympics preparation you cannot stay inactive for four months really.
It is her local area as she was born in Lille and her family live there.

Lyon rotated their squad as this game is sandwiched between WCL games and won easily.

Dijon is clearly missing injuried Grec (metacarpal bone fracture - hand).
Jedlińska who had good start into her first season abroad (2 assists in first 6 matches) is now also missing from Dijon roster for the 2nd week.

At times in the second half, it seemed like Groenen was the only PSG player who could play with both composure and urgency. That last second winner was very fitting. Le Guilly deserves a lot of credit for winning the ball and then the free kick before Groenen's goal.

I recall people saying Hunt was great at the World Cup, but she hasn't hit the ground running at PSG so far. I would start Le Guilly at CB and Calligaris at RB vs Bayern.
