64' Kai should have made it two. Hit right post from left side.

Not jinxing it, just stating the obvious. Gabarra has like NOTHING on the bench that can give him what Kai has. She just hit the post again, and even the mid doesn't get it together, I'm afraid the Freedom is done for this season. :(

78' 1-1 LdV scores after Wombat crashes Branam

Sorry Freedom fans. This should have been a foul on Wombat. She had no chance to get to that ball and could only have hoped to create mayhem.

I want WF to win, but not like this. :(

How is the Freedom midfield doing without Bompastor?

I totally disagree. Wambach was in fact closer to the ball. Jenny ran into her, not vice versa.

88' should be a red card to Huffman for that swing, nothing "accidental" about it

    90': +5

Personally, I thought she threw arm back on purpose maybe, but not to intentionally elbow Kai. I think Kai's milking it just a bit.

93': Kai should take that ball to space away from people. Possession

94': Poor pass by WF gives SBFC a corner. They go short to kill time.

C'm'on. Where's Sawa with the equalizer????

    95:02 Full time. 2-1

Sawa needs to hit the weight room and start taking some martial arts classes. She gets pushed around like a rag doll.

    Deliberate strike. check
Contact above neck with soft tissue by the elbow. check

USSF has stated repeatedly that this should be sanctioned as Serious Foul Play which is a send-off.

It does not matter that she did not mean to hit Kai in the face; it does not matter how hard she hit Kai; what matters is the fact that she did hit Kai.

well, I guess Bompastor WAS the glue in this team.

I gotta say though... impressive Sky Blue. Congrats to Rampone.

I don't think she tried to hit Kai period. I think she threw her arm back in an effort to control her space and balance not knowing Kai was there. I did not think it was deliberate strike.

********. I did not want to see nothing-rhymes-with-orange play on Wednesday.

That said, Branam put on one hell of a show.
