I always wanted to see Montero or Rodallega(when he started at Wigan not now) play a Ramos/Ibarbo type role on the NT.

I think both these guys score a bunch of goals but they are just too inconsistent and their finishing just isn't good enough to be a CF.

I could see Montero in the role they gave Quintero at the WC. Tho think Montero needs to go to a smaller club so he can get more minutes.

I hope that he can represent us at the Olympics. This is a hungry player who could do wonders for us.

The Olympics would be a cool way for him to integrate back into the National team.

However there's a lot of Sub23 strikers who have potential to be really good.

Not to mention Restrepo can screw things up and not qualify.

Hungry is not a word I would use to describe Montero. I've always liked him. When he was with Cali I thought he would become Colombia's main guy one day. The dude is just SO horribly inconsistent. He has 3 goals this season. Perhaps he's about to enter into his yearly streak, perhaps he isn't.

Preciado, Borre, and Martinez are all u-23 and in good form. Striker is not a position I would expend an overage slot on. Yet I get the feeling Falcao may end up starting. Either way, the team must qualify first. No overage player can play the qualifier.

That's only if you include cup matches. Two of those other three came in matches where Sporting scored 4 or more goals. Against Lokomotiv and some Albanian team...
