obviously its nominated. we don't even need to vote for it even though i already did. there is not a chance that he would lose when you think about it.

DeRosario had a nicer goal that MLSnet didn't even include among its candidates. He did a "chicken with its head cut off" George Best impersonation, dribbling a circle through much of the Galaxative defense before beating the keeper to the near post.

Yeah, I thought that might have been even better than Freddy's, but they chose to put in Ngwenya's goal instead.

OK Freddy won the mlsnet one but our DC guys need some votes on the Fox poll.

I can't believe that D'ros wasn't even nominated by MLS.net. It couldn't have happened to a better bunch, either. F the Gals! That was some nice payback for the mid-week debacle. Enjoyed every minute of it.

Well, when you can't beat anybody but the Wizards, you have to take solace in the small victories. ;)

You would begrudge us our little victories on OUR board?

But they're not victories "on your board". It's a contest designed to see what the most popular/best goal of the week is from all 10 teams not a contest to find out just how many DC United fans are online.

Since I almost never vote in online polls, I guess I should just bow out now.

I guess I mean I figured you guys had proved the point a long time ago that you can muster the votes to win any MLS online poll at anytime. At what point does it become old/passe? It's one thing to amuse yourself with polls while your team was sucking away the last four years, but United is a much improved team this year. You'll be in the hunt all summer long, winning matches on the field.

    Ah, nevermind.

Andy, I believe you have hit upon the correct attitude.

Or, it could be that this is a city where people vote for a living, and that the "vote early and often even if you're dead" philosophy may have something to do with Chicago and DC fans flooding the ballot boxes.

Or we could just have more fans.

At least our team gets noticed for something more than Christian rock concerts following their fixtures.

    ;)

We've won 4 of the 8 GOTW contests. Overall, our team may not have the quantity to win games, but we sure do have quality! :D

    Very good, yes. "Spectacular", no.

    "Spectacular?"...possible, but open to interpretation.

Very good? Selling it short, in my opinion.
