With real and milan wanting Freddy for a rumoured 20m, I think it would be a good deal for you's. And with that 20m you can buy Wright-Phillips. And have a bit left over.

if wright-phillips continues to make your defense look like clowns, i wouldn't mind having him on my team

    Inter link with Ljungberg

Inter have targeted Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg – even with reports suggesting he could cost £20m. "I am happy at Arsenal for the moment," said the Swede. "But I don’t want to close the door on my future options."

I love Freddie, but 20 million pounds is alot for him!!! WOW.

He said 'I would like to play for real, with the best player in the world Zidaine, even better than Henry'.

I love steady freddie.... but for that kind of coin, it would be foolish to say no.. he's at that age where it is wiser to let him go.. plus injury ridden!! that is stupid money being discussed by inter IMO~

all that being said, he has put in some massive goals for us thru the years and is so dynamic to our offence~ didnt they just by van der meyde??
    hmm..

    Stop the press!

For once I am in complete agreement with you, phishy....LOL. For 20 million, I would definately sell Freddie.

Aren't Real supposed to be signing Joaquin as the long term replacement for Figo on the right?

And as phishy says, Inter have van der meyde...

Just don't see the reason for the move - especially at those lofty prices for an ageing player who is injury prone....

They're welcome to take Forlan from us for that money though :D

I belive that United would have to send Real 20 million pounds to take Forlan, Prawn.

And by the way, bytheway, nice subtle dig there with the additional Ljungberg "quote", but I'm not sure Zidaine would agree with that assesment of Henry.

As great a player as Henry is..... having seen the second game between Real and Bayern I know who I think is the best player in the world right now. Zidane was just on another planet that night....

You don't have to convince me how good Zidaine is at this point. The problem is in trying to compare 2 players who play 2 different positions and do different things for their clubs.

You could probably put Zidaine on Wolves and Henry on Leeds, and neither of those sides would be near relegation, though.

Wait, so this thread isn't about Freddy Adu. False Advertising. ;)

Anyway, 20 million is way too much for him.

I can see how you were misstaken, as the starter of this thread didn't know it's F-R-E-D-D-I-E Ljungberg and F-R-E-D-D-Y Adu.

There have been rumors about Freddy and Pires leaving for awhile. I wouldn't be suprised if either of them leaves. But nothing in this rumor says to me that it's any different than those of the past. Inn fact, after their purchase of Beckham I suspect Real is even less likely to worry about doing anything other than picking up a world class defender.

I'm beginning to think it's the same guy who does this every time!

Maybe Real are looking to start a branded sports under-wear range. Who better to help them sell it? :D

If they offered £20M i'd bite their hands-off. There are plenty of players we could bring into replace him & i'm not sure the chemistry in the dressing room would be as adversely affected as it would be if certain other players left, if he were to go.

true, and prawn, on the night we beat inter 5-1, henry exceeded zidane in a few ways. it is comparing french apples to french oranges. both of them are amazing players, but henry is just consistently amazing this season. his form has been better than anyone else's, including the monk's, and if he doesn't get world player of the year next year, then it's a crime plain and simple

It's hard for me to believe that Real are monitoring Freddie. Just doesn't seem like he's a Galactico, you know? I think he fits in to the system at Arsenal great, but anyway an offer for 20 or even 15 mil would have to be seriously considered.
Going to Inter might be more likely, but that wouldn't exactly be a step up from Arsenal, would it?
