Wouldn't have made the bench for Ghana, let alone the US.

Kind of hard to make any bench after you've officially retired.

hey atleast adu could have taken a decent free kick. Would have been a more worthwhile roster spot than findley.

U.S. fans in general. Go back a few years and you'll find all the pointless threads.

Freddy Adu should have been aborted along with Bob Bradley and his useless tactics and player selection

Most of them were started by Mexican fans, desperate to try to measure up to the U.S.

And yes, European troubles aside, Adu is better than Dos Santos, just as Donovan was head and shoulders better than anyone in Mexico even when not playing for Leverkusen.

I mean at least Adu can score in The Greek League, Dos Santos can't even put it in the net in Turkey.

Not even most US fans would agree with you.

Who cares, many U.S. fans used to hate Donovan too. I didn't change my assessment of Donovan's talent then, based on what I had seen in games, and won't now for Adu.

Hate is different from that, I don't think any serious US fan can deny Donovan's quality.

Agreed, but plenty of "fans" did.

Either way, time will tell. Adu will either play well this season, as he did in the second half of last season, or he won't in which case next season he'll likely be in MLS (according to Grant Wahl) where he will get playing time. And then we will see.

Donovan was always recognized. He's been a reference of U.S. soccer since 2002. Even the media in Mexico gave credit to Donovan. I think he is the only irreplaceable player you guys have.

First of all, Gio's role in Turkey is more of a supplier than a goal scorer.

Mexican fans are desperate to measure up to the U.S.?:p

you just lost all your credibility. I'm done talking to you.

Same with Adu, in all matches he had 2 goals, 3 assists drew 2 penalties and earned a free kick which lead to a goal. This was in about 11 games.
