I was browsing through the fm dial sunday night and heard a freestyle by Fabolous(personally i think he is wack) . He said something along the lines of "what the ****************** you gonna dom young and talented like Freddy adu..(mentioned world cup , can't remember details" Since Fabolous is known for wearing throwback jerseys he'll probably be wearing an Adu shirt soon.. I don't think this is a releadsed song, but if you are looking for it al i can say is the beat was basicaaly a loop of 10cc Dreadlock Holiday. Post a repy if you know more song details

That is pretty cool I'll admit. It would be pretty nice to see soccer gain popularity within the hip hop community.

I think we will all be wearing an Adu jersey once they start making them.

I think this is probably made up, b/c Fabolous usually doesn't rap about soccer, and I doubt he has heard about him at all. Oh well, if he did, thats great for the soccer community, Fab is a great lyricist...

I saw Snoop on MTV wearing a very nice white Ronaldo Jersery in his new video Beautiful. Plus he has a bunch on fine women playing soccer on it too. Its not a USA jersey but its still soccer. Here are the snoop pics.

I agree it's a good video. It's also good to see soccer associated with hot ass chicks. I really need to get myself to Brasil. If it's half of what I've seen on tv as far as hot chicks go, it will be well worth it. :D

that is CLEARLY not a ronaldo jersey.

    its a white Snoop jersey.

this U.S. rapper is obviously commemorating the famous Brazil winger Snoop, a regular on the 1950's sides.

If Brazil's national sport was hurling, he would be wearing that jersey, he just wanted the hot Brazilian women.

Well it has a #9 on it so its Ronaldo's. Its like if I wore a usa jersey with the #13 with my last name you would know its Cobi Jones.

Actually fabolous has used ther word soccer in rhymes before, look it up any reputable hip hop lyric search engine. As for lyrics, fabolous is strictly pedestrian and derivitive like most hip hop that sells, but this not the forum for that discourse.

Then you really need to get yourself to Brazil, because it is definitely better in person than it is on TV...

    Classic post.

Question though: Does Brazil ever wear white jerseys? I've seen their white shorts (which look horrible with the yellow jerseys), but I'm not sure I've ever seen white jerseys.

Roni Size has a song, "Dirty Beats". Part of the lyrics are, "We're not the lucky team who got the lucky run in cup year". Since he's a brit and the song's from 2000, I assume he's referring to France.

Anyone have info on that Fabolous song? Title, Album?

Maybe this is an urban legend, but I was under the impression that brazil hasn't worn a white jersey since their loss in the '50 world cup final loss to Uruguay.

Something about losing in front of 200,000 fans while at home...and the clear favorite to win...could make you want to throw away the jersey for good. Sort of like Agoo's '94 shirt burning, but Brazil has carried their grudge for over 50 years...

I saw the pics of Snoop in the white Brazil jersey. That's the reason for my question, because I don't recall ever watching Brazil in white--only yellow and blue, and in the old days green. The response about the 1950 final is an intriguing one. Anyone know if it is true? If so, it seems kind of weird that you can even get a white Brazil jersey. (Of course, if you're Snoop I guess you can.)

I thought it was the green jersey that they disowned.

Definitely ask SoccerScout over on the Brazil boards. The man is a plethora of Brazilian football info. For that matter Moacir could probably answer your question just as well.

Brazil wore white in 54 as well, and were defeated by Hungary in the quarters. After that it changed.

I think its a throwback type jersey because it says BRASIL on the front, and I don't think Brazil or Nike would have the jerseys have that on the front.
