Great news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like you, I think he'll end up here in DC if he joins. The question though, is whether he'll join this year or not. If he joins before the end of this season, then it's pretty easy to get him here on a weighted lottery, after all, we'll have the best chance anyway. So if the choice were between DiGi and Freddy, frankly, I'd take Freddy because he's going to be a real gem in the not-too-distant-future. But if Freddy doesn't sign this season, then we could get both. Freddy could be a backup left wing and backup forward. -Tron
I'm happy that they're now US Citizens. And I'm hopeful that he one day plays in MLS, for DC United. It seems that his mother is doing the right thing in letting him grow up first. But when it comes to MLS "Weighted Lotteries", I'm skeptical. I think the Lotteries are weighted as: LA: 49% NY/NJ/MT/MI/NV: 49% All other MLS teams: .25% And of course, the league can lean a little more towards the big markets if they have a big interest.

could he really join DCU before he was 16? in most states you can't work very many hours until you are 16 and in some you can't work after 8 pm or other child labor type laws.
