Ugh. I love Freddy, but he was bad. I think he completed two passes and lost the ball about 6 times. He didn't make sharp runs.

I missed about 10 minutes, though.

Sounds like that's it for Freddy. Too bad.

Andre Almeida is subbed in for Adu.

Oh well, it's not the end of the world.

Gotta read for class so I can't watch the 2nd half... Adu needs to get better at making runs off the ball... All too often, he'll make a run down the middle when there are two defenders there thus giving his teammate no way to pass to him... Other times when he needs to go to receive the ball, he does the opposite... He needs to learn how to run into space, one to open up the field and two so he can be in a 1 v 1 with the defender... And I hardly see him make any diagonal runs at all... Another thing is he needs to get in the box or put himself in a good position when it's obvious that his teammate is going to try and cross the ball into the box rather than stand by him waiting on the ball... But, I will say that his technical skills seem to be a head above everyone else's on the team...

of course i'm not saying Davies is as good as Messi but I do think Davies uses his body about as well as any player in the world.

Adu was cautioned in the first half, right? maybe that hastened his departure .....

"I think Pereira and belenenses have made a mistake in signing Adu. There was no quality in him today."

    The legend of Freddinho.

Being subbed out at halftime is not good. Not good at all.

Hopefully 2 good performances as a substitute ≥ 1 mediocre game as a starter and he can stay in the substitute rotation.

Agree with all this. Although he was no worse than anyone else, being "no worse" doesn't earn PT. Unfortunately, getting pulled at halftime won't help his confidence much either. Seems the coach isn't willing to give him much of a chance, and would not be surprised if he doesn't see another start with this team.

Almeida making the good runs/passes that adu didn't. I really have to wonder about Adu's position on this team if the only reason he started today was because two first teamers were out, and the person who subbed in for adu looks much better.

It really does hurt to type all this, I had high hopes for adu but to see all this happening just plain sucks. How many times can we say that he's just rusty?

What's disapointing is that after the last two games, it looked like Adu had gotten over the being knocked off the ball thing. Clearly he hasn't.

To be fair to Freddy, Andre Almeida (the guy that replaced him) hasn't looked very effective either, and the whole team has looked weak offensively this season.

Belenenses has scored 4 goals in nearly 7 games now. One player probably can't change everything.

Edit: Right when I saw that, Nacional's keeper saves the best Belem shot of the match - from Lima

Freddy just can't get over that hump.

    This is disappointing.

Ze Pedro nearly salvages a draw for a Belenenses team that deserves no points from this match, but the Nacional keeper saves the lead.

    Injury time now.
