Wow. The most soccer hating sports station getting on the freddy Adu bandwagon? Metros supporters better call in and harrass the enemy player! I guess that could be considered as supporting Metro right? DC United hijo de ******** !!

Did Various Styles start to support the USMNT? I guess that I have to start supporting the Mexican NT, the unthinkable has happened.

No Rob. It's a trap. Don't believe in Styles words. He will trap you in supporting the Mexican NT. Don't join the dark side. :D

FRANCESSA: Doggie, there is NO way Pope can handle this kid Adu. I just can't see it.

MAD DOG: I don't know Mike.....this kid Parke is looking good so far, so I wouldn't sell the Metros short.

FRANCESSA: Dog, I am tellin ya there's no way the MetroStars can handle this youngster. He's fast, he's good, he's smart....I spoke to Peter Nowak, who is a good friend of mine, and he is REALLY high on this kid.

MAD DOG: Mike, I saw that game on ABC against SJ and there is NO way, Freddi Adu is as good as John Wolyniec or Eddie Gaven. NO way. I just don't see it.....(interrupted by Mike).

FRANCESSA: What?!? John Wolyniec better than Adu? You've got to be kiddin' be Doggie. Wolyniec was in the 'A' League two year's ago! Gimme a break!

MAD DOG: Mike, I don't care WHAT league he played for last year, this guy Wolyniec is going to score at least one, maybe two goals on Saturday vs DC.

FRANCESSA: Doggie, I hope your right....this is gonna be a hell of a match.

MAD DOG: Mike, I'm going with the MetroStars on this one. Their midfield looks great, the offense seems to be clicking, Walker looks sharp and Bradley seems to have these guys in synch. I'm predicting a 3-0 win for the MetroStars.

Let's hope The Dog is right for a change. :D

I'd be amazed if they don't grill young Mr. Adu on how he's going to get America to warm up to soccer. I'd be surprised if even half the callers know who the hell he is.

Now we are getting greedy, we do not want the none soccer fans to fall asleep(nothing against Bob). Freddy's age and talent will intrigue the non soccer fan more than Bob Bradley. Let's be satisfied with getting some soccer talk in a NONE JOKING MATTER on the anti-soccer WFAN.

Wow. I hope they can give him a whole segment. I mean there is a lot of sports to talk about. Who will be the set up man for the set up man in the Yankee bullpen? Who will be the 8th man off the bench for the Knicks? Don't forget the Dog may need to re-live the women's tennis match on Saturday that delayed to MLS game on ESPN 2.

Do you think they will ask anything really deep like what he thinks of the new Fifa rule concerning junior internationals? ;)

The interview can be heard and seen on the Yes Network (Nationally) as well. On their website they have a chat link in case you can't call.

Can anyone offer a REASON why this is being done? I mean, talk about WEIRD. Why would WFAN in general and Mike in particular devote THIS MUCH TIME to a soccer player?

Does WFAN take payola? (Way to go NS) :)

Because they are a sports radio station and not one American soccer player has ever gathered this much attention twoards the average sports fan/writer/show/etc.
