AK has always been doing business ops...His involvement on the sporting side was more of just to know what was going on with it. He wasn't making any decisions.

I would also posit that just because AK wasn't relieved of his duties today, doesn't mean he's "survived". Rodriguez is the type that could come in and be a President as well -- he's certainly qualified for it.

Transition. Lets see the structure come January.

in the meantime I'm gonna go ahead and expect disappointment.

that way it won't hurt that much when we hire Mike Petke.

A strong organization can handle turnover like this if they have even stronger leadership sticking to a clear plan.

The Fire unfortunately have none of this.

I sincerely hope the league is fed up and told Hauptman you're getting Rodriquez as GM and you're going to like it.

Knowing Hauptman, he probably added a nondisclosure to any compensation from firing after Jumper.

From what I heard, he had many conversations with Andy about what was going on. This is very possible, SOMEONE TALK TO HIM!

This sounds like it will be a win if either the league forced it on Hauptman or he hired him on his own. If he doesn't provide Rodriguez with what resources he needs to make the team successful or gets in the way, that will definitely get back to the commissioner. And either way it's bound to piss the league off. Maybe enough to force a sale.

on his way out, I should thank Fran Yallop for all he did for me.

    1. vastly improved my image and animated gif searching ability
    2. learned what words not to pair with "raccoon" when googling at work
    3. forced me to figure out how to make legible 10K avatars

thanks, Frank, your time here has left a lasting impression.

Klinsmann has tried to coach to potato. He may achieve it soon enough.
